foreign girls are a bit more liberal when it comes to sex compared with their British counterparts, at least that's my experience.
Every foreigner I know, boy or girl, and myself included, says exactly the opposite about British girls being far easier than most other nationalities hehe

SO after taking a brief hiatus from POF due to being hung up on some girl, i got back on it properly last week. A few hits here and there and then suddenly Sunday night I have more girls messaging me than i can keep up with. Some attractive, some not so much but all nice enough.

Anyway I have a date lined up for Friday night and then a girl driving from Southampton for a date on sunday and she's made it quite obvious how she wants that to go so should be a good weekend.

Date is getting closer, and need some advice on what to wear.

I spend 99% of my time in boots and combats due to work. At home it's just jeans and a t shirt. Shoes wise it's black DCs and that's it.

I got my bonus at work this month and need to get some new clothes anyway. So ideas?

Going to a bar in town. It's a fairly small town, but whenever I've been there in the past they've done nice food and cheapest drinks.

I was thinking jeans (black), some smart shoes and a nice shirt?

I'm probably overthinking this massively...but feel it's been a while since you've had a laugh at my expense!

This is Ki3r we are talking about remember wink

Smart dark blue jeans, smart shoes and matching belt, decent shirt and a blazer/dinner jacket over it if you have one is fairly standard date wear I would have thought.

I wouldn't worry too much.

You're taking her to the place with the cheapest drinks in town, she'll be so aroused by your financial prudence she'll have slipped off her knickers, wrung them out and put them in her handbag before you've finished asking the barman about the 2-for-1 breezers.

I said cheapish, not cheapest :P. (At least I think I did, cheapish did auto correct to cheapest just then...).

I'm guessing using Tesco club card vouchers to pay isn't a good idea?

That last part is a joke...they don't take them wink.

WTF is it with this internet "alpha" / "beta" crap?

I swear it only exists on forums and 4chan where the general idea of a relatioship is wking into the same sock 3 times without washing it.

Nope, you said cheapest.

Watch that autocorrect, or you'll end up telling her she's a filthy chubi and you want to kick her puppy.

Go for the slick and stylish look; don't forget the bling either. wink

Oh, and a decent aftershave - smell nice, yeah.

Some people take it pretty seriously, and if you want to manipulate a girl into sleeping with you I'm sure it works very well. The issue I have with it is the more people that do it the more people will think that's how a healthy relationship is, for both guys and girls. Still, I guess that's a discussion for a separate thread.

Pretty much this. It seems to be part of the 'theory' module in the pulling women course. Just let them insist you are a beta, therefore bound to be fked over by an alpha because women are all evil (It must be true, it was in a book....) then just carry on as you were!.

It's an interesting topic; should you talk about your past relationships and how much?

We need a woman's perspective here.
I'd been in a few long relationships, then had a couple of years of 'fun times' some of which were with FwB before I met him. He has had 1 long relationship & a lot of fun.

Yes, we discussed it. We got serious right from the start & as we're still friends, we didn't think it fair that we'd meet some without knowing. We also let them know that we knew, just so there was no awkwardness.

That we'd all go on to be good mates wasn't expected, but it certainly doesn't have any affect on our relationship or friendships smile

Haven't we gone through all this before, usually ending with you ignoring all advice.

Honestly why are you asking people you e never met, what to wear when you meet a woman you've never met at a bar that we don't know.

It's not hard, if you don't know what to wear and have a choice then you shouldn't be dating.

It's like going to a job interview and asking what to wear!!

If you need advice on something as simple as this then you won't make the grade.

Anyhow, rant over.

It's a bar, it's Summer, it's a first date.

SHIRT. A smart one, white, pink, French blue you decide. Two buttons undone. Long sleeve, a nice collar, well ironed, slim fit and tucked into

JEANS

Decent jeans, dark blue or black, NOT STONEWASHED OR FROM ASDA. Low waist band if it suits, a decent cut that flatters. Long length so they cover your

BOOTS

They are black or tan, brogue, Chelsea, slip on or lace up but NOT FROM BRANTANO. Well polished as they will be noticed as will your

ACCESSORIES

A watch, don't know what you have but it says more than the time. A belt that goes with jeans. Maybe MAYBE a bracelet. No neck chain or other. Have a wallet, a slim one or money clip and don't let your phone be seen unless it's a Smartphone. This is all you carry apart from a

JACKET. That should be a suit jacket, slim cut, two button, narrow lapel, navy. No hankie needed in the pocket and you can wear it or carry it over your arm.

Kiss on the cheek, open doors, pull out chairs, nod your head, pretend you are interested. Your aim is a 2nd date.

Keep us informed mate.

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. I know you seem a bit special Ki3R but whether you're stylish as fook or are an awkward bloke who dresses like a gamer, you are you. Falsifying it for a date seems a bit strange to me in that you'll either gel as you or not. Never really understand why you'd be something you're not to potentially leave disappointment a little further down the line. Yes, there's putting the best foot forward but I'm not sure that would extend to buying a different look just to take a doris for an average meal at what sounds like a bit of a restaurant.

If anything, rocking up in a fitted T-shirt and pair of Converse might display a bit more of a laid back attitude to a first date than arriving in your best Court suit and polished shoes like a Johnny try-hard. The important part is to be as groomed as you can - look and smell immaculate. Just don't wear a T-shirt with your favourite TV show on it or combats.

Ergo - your jeans, shirt and a pair of shoes sound fine. If you really are socially unaware, go buy GQ, have a look at what folk are wearing and choose a style that you think suits you. Get a female mate to help identify that look and possibly even hold your hand going to the shops (just don't interpret that hand hold as being some sort of marriage indication...). H&M are cheap as chips and usually follow up to date styles with their stock - it's cheap and won't last all that long but for a quick make over would do the job.

If it was what I felt comfortable in she would properly walk away wink.

I've got an idea on what to wear. I'm not that stupid when it comes to women and dates (although admittedly from my past it doesn't come across like that).

Just fun to see what everyone thinks.

On a serious note, don't think I can get away with slim fitting!
