Not bad, but perhaps not in red?
It clashes with the green on your jumper.

ETA: Watch out, there's a groomer about!

Never mind the hat, you can pull me off, if you want?

When you tried on the hats in M&S, what did you honestly think?

Did they look any good?

Did they suit you?

ETA, the suggestion above is a great one and would obviously be treated with the correct protocols in only establishing an answer to your question of course.
I suppose it's all down to opinion and what you're used to.

For instance, I tried on some blazers the other day, every time I looked in the mirror, I thought, "What an utter cock!" yet I see loads of men my age effortlessly looking decent enough wearing blazers.

The hat just completes the groomer look.

You've posted a picture of a trilby not a fedora. For that reason, no.
Precisely! Trilbys are for old men, fedoras are for chaps.

I have two, one like this and a straw one (Panama) for summer. Never wear either as they're a PITA whenever you're not wearing it, always got to be carrying it or trying to find somewhere to put the bloody thing.

Looks like a tea cosy made from a recycled World of Leather sofa - if you are cultivating the down-at-heel bookmaker look, maybe, otherwise, no.

Go to a proper hat shop to see what's available, like this one
http://www.smartclothesonline.co.uk/?page_id=283

If there's any equestrian shops near you, or any country shows still due to take place, you can often pick up hats more cheaply there.

But brown leather? just no.

That's quite impressive!

Does he stand like that for the whole number?

Or just whilst he pulls one off?

Good, practical hat is the Fedora. Shame they went out of fashion IMO.

yep, the thing is with hats, maybe 1-2% of the population can pull them off, the rest looks like knobs.
