fking Martians comin' ere n cycling on our roads (Sorry, I use humour to deflect st situations - Shrink on line 1...)
Hope you get somewhere with this, we had an incident where a youngish chap drove at my pregnant wife and I as we were walking over a pedestrian crossing. The police had a chat with him but didn't take it further, however having spotted the guy afterwards his driving had calmed down a lot and he did actually apologise for being a tt.
With regards to the racism, if you were a fat white chap he'd have probably called you a fat bd instead so don't think you're hated due to skin colour he is just a bellend who was probably trying to wind you up and get a reaction by using your 'difference' to create a scene.
Still hope he gets in trouble though, aholes like that shouldn't be on the road and would be banned by now if we hadn't replaced the police with speed cameras.

Doesn't sound like the behaviour of a balanced, reasonable individual. Chances are he's done this in the past.
This ^ Always bear in mind before reacting to another driver that every year 1 in 4 people suffer a mental health issue of some sort.
OP mentions shouting and arguing from the car when it was parked - who knows what was going on, but the balance of the driver's mind may have been disturbed by emotions or possibly drugs (or both).
Sorry - I wasn't clear. The shouting seemed to be from the house - an argument maybe, followed by the guy getting in to the car and driving off at speed.
I'm not convinced about mental issues as he seemed to be pretty spot on with his verbal tirade but I don't know him, And nor do I want to.
I will submit my statement, I will follow this through and I owe my daughter that much - I hate seeing her so visibly upset and if I can take action against the person that did that to her, I will. I have no intention of letting this go as next time, he could do more serious damage.
I just hope something can be done.

London Not stereotyping or anything .. but they usually drive a sh8t car, lower classes and some personal problems. Be grateful you're not a total loser like him.

Out of curiosity - you're a level headed bloke - was the racial insult any worse to you than the rest of the nasty episode?
The racial thing, I'll be honest, was no worse than I've heard before - I've heard and been on the receiving end of worse. I will refrain from sharing those here. It was aimed only at me as my daughter is more olive skinned - I'm black. The threat of violence towards my family was what pissed me off the most as my 7 year old was terrified - I don't expect any decent person, sane or otherwise, should be allowed to threaten physical violence and to "fking kill them" at any point. Especially when there are children in the group who can understand what's going on.
There was never a chance that I would have initiated anything - not in front of the family anyway - I'd defend them to the death, but not to lower myself to the level of some drunk, ignorant fkwit.
Harry, my three year old, didn't have a clue - and I'm pleased about that.
