Dick Van Dyke is older than Lionel Jeffries who plays his father in In Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. And Sally Thomsett is older than Jenny Agutter who plays her big sister in The Railway Children. She was actually 19 when it was filmed.

In On The Buses, Stan (Reg Varney) was 20 yrs older than Blakey (Stephen Lewis). In fact, Blakey was 36 when they filmed the last episode.
