Thanks for the reminder, I saw this the other day on Facebook but was busy at the time and forgot. I've now ordered.

Also ordered one of the "Somme 2016" poppies, now that the "Somme 100" have been sold out

£44 inc delivery isn't cheap, but I'm guessing that it'll do far more for veterans than 50p a year into a collection box for the usual paper poppy (which I'll still do anyway....)

Parcel force attempted to deliver something to me today, must be the poppies cause they're the only things I'm expecting.

Thanks - hadn't seen this before. Ordered and rounded up to the nearest round sum with a donation.

The additional upside of these pins is that you now have to do a road trip to visit the grave of your soldier.

What a great idea DA, I shall now be off in the New Year to pay my respects to Private C Allett at the Thiepval memorial.

Thanks for the heads up OP, for some bizarre reason I became quite emotional to read about 'my' soldier and my wife shed a tear when reading how the poppy is made.

I bought one a few months back when I missed the original run.
I bought the lapel pin. It is nice thing to have, the case is well made.
As well as the heritage I will look forward to wearing it.
Its sits along side my Granddad's RAF wing.

I have the 100 yr commemorative cuff links and the Spitfire lapel pin courtesy of my very thoughtful wife.

Beautiful objects which I treasure and wear with pride.

Just bought two as well. Kids are in the ATC so they can wear them for their parade.

Is there any difference in the manufacture of the originals to the present pins? Is it just the text on the back that is different?
