Not something you expect to ever read! That's ripe for converting into a camper - the roof is cut out of them for the pop-up top, and they sell for strong money afterwards.

I like the idea of a pop top but it's wasted as the back is full of ladder and boxes most of the time.
My body shop said it should be repairable with a new roof skin then it needs some paint on bonnet, bumper and one side.
It had new rear doors and bumper late last year because a mini drove into the back of it.
Just needs the sides doing then all will be as new...
I don't think it will be a cheap fix so will see what the insurance assessor says next week.

You say it didn't cost you anything, but I bet it cost you increased insurance premiums for five years afterwards.
Someone else hitting your car, even if you were no where near it at the time and the other party admitted full liability, makes you a higher risk don't you know. Even though you couldn't possibly have influenced the outcome and you've never made a claim before or since and have more than a decade worth of no claims bonus.
I'm not bitter, honest.

Im just going by what insurance told me, it won't effect any no claims and no premium increase as she admitted her fault and it was rear ended.
It was all looked after hertz accident management and I had a new van on the drive a few hours later.
10+ years protected no claims at the moment and reading my terms it says premiums won't be effected unless more than 3 claims over 2 years.
I guess I will find out about this renewal time.

Yep, cambelt went £1500ish to repair, got it back and this happened, all through insurance
Around £1600 of damage, luckily didn't cost me anything, new rear doors, bumper etc
Lucky van....
Still it's a workhorse but I still try to keep it tidy looking when turning up for jobs.
I can see you take pride in your appearance too.Around £1600 of damage, luckily didn't cost me anything, new rear doors, bumper etc

A few years ago I had a couple of tiles blow off. Smashed my windscreen and put a big dent in the wing. It had no insurance either as I had just bought a new car and transferred the insurance policy. I replaced the windscreen, but sold it with the dent. Shame as it was an old, but tidy car.
