Anyone got any idea how they remove the metal staples in the above wound?

eek
It's a little tool which holds the staple, pushes the middle bit down, thereby opening the two 'bent under' bits of the staple in your skin up and out. Its easy, anyone can do it. It doesn't hurt very much, just pulls a bit if the wound is a bit crusty around the staple. I've taken miwyuns out.

My staples were taken out with a plastic "hook" ended tool and my mum's were just last week too.

As for ops and scars I've had a few and have the scars although thankfully they're very "discrete".

The worst one was having my face peeled down from the middle of my skull down to my nose. My forehead was then remodelled and titanium plates bolted in and stapled back up from ear to ear.
Also had my jaw, chin and nose done but they were all from inside.

That lot took some balls. wink
LMAO @ the balls comment...

Does your face still retain all the original feelings or does it sometimes feel a bit weird?

Reason I ask is I was talking to someone who had a similar op and she said that sometimes it doesnt feel like her face strangely enough....

Anyways you are a braver person than me to have that lot done to ya
Now and again it feels a bit numb around the front of my hairline but not often.

Hopefully going to one of the world's best surgeons for facial reconstruction helped, smile

As for "brave" I don't see it at all. All I had to do was lie there for 8 hours. Dr Suporn is the brave one for taking the responsibility of cutting up a living persons head.

Kudos to him.

Of me? If so the answer is no as I destroyed any "before" pictures.

Whitechief: would you mind sharing how you damaged your arm please?

Sorry for asking if you're not happy to say.

I fell over giving a piggy back to a girl with a broken foot who was too pissed to operate her crutches. My elbow smashed into four pieces my humerus snapped and my elbow came out of my arm, leaving my arm facing back to front. It wasn't the best day of my life.

Havent got any pictures, but when i was 12, i had my adrenal glands removed due to an illness, and the scar is right across my stomach, horizontally, and looks like either a) a zip or b) a shark bite!

I've got 4 scars on my hands, all fairly small though.

Small scar on my right pinky finger due to a girl in my primary school class (Jean Prentice!) hitting me with her coat belt buckle after I tried to feel her arse.

Another scar on my left index finger - I was sawing a piece of wood when I was a teenager and sawed right into my finger as I wasn't paying attention.

Scar on my middle finger where a mate slammed his metal locker door at the swimming baths (teenager again) with my hand still in it.

Last one is on my left wrist. I had a pair of tweezers in my boilersuit pocket at work and I forgot to remove them. Ended up the tip was sticking out through the material and it removed a chunk of skin from my wrist.
