At the revival festival, a mate of mine buys the steve mcqueen gulf racing jacket.
I couldn't contain myself but managed enough control till the purchase went through, then lost it!!!
My sides split....where the hell is he gonna wear it, down the pub ???
"oh look, steve's just walked in again"......
or at a track...."hello, he must be quick"
Needless to say iv'e changed his name to steve on my phone....love it when he calls !!
I don't think its ever seen the light of day.....perhaps he puts it on and looks in the mirror every now and then.
Ooo.. sounds like it might be quite nice. scratchchin

...searches Google...

The last impulse buy for me, was from one of those cash converter type places. *deep breath* dunlop golf bag, full set of dunlop irons,3 wood, pitching wedge, putter, sand wedge,driver,49 golf balls,50 tees, a callaway umbrella, a range finder and a golf cart all for the princely sum of 25 knicker. Having got it home and had a shufty, its not brilliant, but its in half decent condition and should keep me going for a few years i think

You'll see at least one Gulf jacket at any PH meet.

A Williams rear wheel from the wrong brother's car.

You would want to own something that has lived in Baz's toilet?

Dear god man, haven't you been through enough pain?

What crap have you all been buying then?

Mine, after a late night ebay session.

A 70-200 L series Canon travel mug.

Same for me, but as a Nikon fan I got the Nikon version, I reckon I must have been drunk, as I bought one for me and two more for my Nikon Camera loving buddies.

They are scarily real though, just wish I could afford the real thing!!

Nige.

Does anyone else impulse buy cars?
Always. Planning car purchases is sooooo boring.
And even if I know what I want to buy I always break the cardinal rule and buy the first one I look at because I'm so impatient...

Have ended up with some real lemons this way!

Even my boring mundaneo I have now was an impulse buy, had been without a car for a few weeks, thogh "sod it" got a lift to the local arthur daily emporium and got the first mundaneo with aircon!

A family member bought a £6000 Ferrari Mondial by mistake on Ebay once, does that count as impulse?

whistle
A few years ago I went to the car auctions to buy a Fiesta and came home with a Volvo 440 Turbo.

Mercifully I was able to sell it three weeks later for only a £30 loss.

And I once bought a scruffy Lotus Esprit for £3300, but I think that your £6000 Ferrari Mondial will take some beating.

drink
I was the one that had to tell him by text. He asked me how much that Mondial went for, I replied "You own a Ferrari". He replied "fk right off", I replied with a picture of the winning bid.

Saw it one Friday morning, realised it was only round the corner from me, went to have a look Friday afternoon, brought it home Saturday lunchtime.

"Erm, darling, I've bought a new car....."

That would work as a cheap C3PO outfit.
