Combine an exercise bike with a Wii or Playstation, add some Tour De France stages and adjust the resistance depending on whether you're going uphill or downhill. Record best times for routse and allow online racing and downloadable courses.

Better still, combine it with Google Streetview for the ultimate virtual cycle tour!

If someone steals this idea and makes their millions, please at the very least just send me a free, complete and working example.
Some gyms have versions of this. Steering and braking as well! Was the only reason I left the free weights room at my Uni gym last year - mountain bike racing was great fun, and because it was a game where you had to win the race to unlock the next race/level etc, was very easy to motivate yourself.

I am at present working on a device that will capture the energy generated by my wife talking to her sister.
If that is like my household, you will be the most powerful man on the planet.

I salute your innovation.

I'll go looking for one! I need some exercise and cycling is my favourite exercise but I just can't bring myself to face the potholed roads and wet miserable winter nights here on a bike.

OK then, that's been done. How about a computer football game showing the first person perspective? Duke Nukem with a football instead of a gun.

A double/king size duvet with two different side togs.
Men generally get hot at night kicking the covers off where as some ladies get cold and pull the duvet up, so if you could get one that with one side lightweight say 4.5 and the other side heavyweight like 15.

Everyones a winner smile

You could get something similar for the Playstation 2. It was essentially an exercise bike "wheel" & pedals that sat on the floor in front of the sofa (rather than having its own seat, handlebars etc). Then, when plugged in, it translated to the acceleration of whatever game you were playing. Worked for any racing games, whether bike or car.

Although I did tend to slip off the sofa.
