yes

Ok on topic.

When i was about nine i fell asleep with my eyes open after staring at a light in the sky. All i remember was looking at this light at about 8pm when i went to bed and then been shook awake by my mum in the early hours.
i was laid on my back and seemingly staring out the window and my brother had woken up and started talking to me thinking i was awake.
when he realised he started screaming, thats when my mum came in and woke me up.
All i remember was watching this light then getting shook awake.

Without sounding like a moaning bd, it's pretty tedious having to wade through a dozen "comedy" replies in order to find something of substance.
You were being serious? eek

If you believe in the paranormal you have to believe in heaven/hell/god/Satan . You really sure you know what your doing ?

a) you posted in the Lounge and you expected serious replies to a generally sceptical subject?
b) in all your posts on PH, you didn't detect that most posters here are fairly down to earth, sceptical set of bantering car nuts who are highly unlikely to contribute positively to such a subject?
c) see a)

On a constructive note; no, never have, never expect to. I've never read of any event that can't be explained by a combination of environmental factors, mental health of the subject and/or media hype/misreporting.

I never said whether I do or don't believe in anything.

Does something have to be proven to be true in order to be entertaining?

Fiction can be entertaining, but IMO there are enough fantastic things in the world already.

confused I actually find a MIB discussion about whether it's "paranormal" or something else quite entertaining...

No because it doesn't exist , I believe there's more chance of men in black scenario than paranormal activity lol
Would an MIB scenario not be classified as a'paranormal activity'?
What does the Motor Insurance Bureau have to do with "paranormal" activity? wink
Freaky fluctuations in renewal quotes that are higher than the norm?

More X-Files music plays in the background
Very good hehe

Ok, who agrees with this before i take issue hehe

I like to believe that there may be strange things going on in strange places, i do not believe in god/religion though! I had never thought about the two things being connected.

Scaremongering, if it is possible for the paranormal or existence of something truly unknown then it is possible the god almighty is about to judge and condem you.

But only if you beleive.

here plays more x-files.

I knew you were going to say that....

Paranormal and substance. Two words that do not normally go together. I await the spooks stories with interest.

Edit. Missed out the word "not". Didn't see that coming did I?

Well that's a load of bo!!ocks....

There could entirely be another realm that is parallel to our own that contains ghosts etc. We've just not found it or been able to prove it's existence or not. So you could believe in paranormal without believing in God.

God has got nothing to do with it. Heaven/Hell is simply a religious load of guff to get gullible people to conform...

Does anyone have any personal experience of such things? Or even just examples from the media that are worth a read?
The poster "Ry_B" keeps appearing, posting rubbish and then disappearing and for an unexplained reason, the mods tolerate him and haven't banned him.

Freaky.
Oh yes they have! biggrin

I see it as being the same thing , possed people have always been the work of Satan while being Exorcised has been the work of god . Since ever , bad vs evil has meant god vs Satan .

Am I getting something wrong here ?
