Snowing here tonight , and will be white in the morning but rising to plus 15c over the weekend so we can enjoy a bit more of the fall before it turns nasty . Late this year , hoorah .

Saw the rain this morning which reminded me of the message I had from God last night about building a boat.......let me know if you want to be one of the two..... smile

I really was not expecting that much rain over night, probably could have sailed to Cambridge this morning if I'd tried. Nice drive back this evening, but rather warm, can't believe it's almost November and it's still not that cold.

Things to remain unseasonably warm and pleasant for the time being. No sign of wintry weather, and precious little autumnal weather!

That's a good thing. Isn't it? smile

It was light enough for a trip to work without the headlights this morning. We've also been able to use the central heating as and when required, rather than having it on full blast. Nice change. smile

I had been wondering where you were. I heard a few of the ski places (Loveland pass) were opening out your way after a few storms though?

19oC as we passed Sheffield this afternoon.

Apart from that, I can confirm it's grim up North

Barely. There's been some snowfall above 8,000' and the snow makers have been in operation at loveland, but it's only 1 of 9 lifts open for ~1/8th of the runs it accesses...so only about 1/72nd open!

We've had a couple of frosts, but it's still not dropped below freezing where I am (Parker).

Which was a minor relief to be honest, as the wife and I were in the NICU with the newborn for a while when it was time to get the sprinklers blown out. Not that I cared at the time, but having the system freeze is 1.expensive. and 2.time consuming to fix in 3.the cold.

All done now, though so bring on the snow!

So, now due to hit 23c on Monday....

My mistake, Loveland has 1 run of 93 open, Wolf Creek has 2 of 77.

Bit of an odd one wasn't it. Had to put the heating on again here.

Last year it was the warmest Halloween and warmer than today as well, but that was October and not November, by 1 day!

Clearly my weather memory is extremely short as I don't remember it being as warm this time last year. That said, I was living in London, which has it's own micro-climate anyway.

Still more used to cold and frost at this time of year, it's my birthday in 2 weeks and I generally remember chilly weather for various childhood parties!
