I have an awful feeling that 2016 has one 'biggie' left in it yet.
I said this on Xmas Day, then George departed. Also said there would be another and Carrie popped it.

I think there's a minor celeb left to go this year but no one of real significance.

Don't think so. That looks/sounds like it was just a fall. Pics of him posing for the camera from the hospital bed.

I told my wife there is always a big one on Christmas Day. It was a close run thing!

I've said as much about new years' day - there is usually one death of someone we all recognise.

without being too morbid...

Bruce forsythe
billy connolly
the queen?
Prince phillip?

“DON'T THINK OF IT AS DYING, said Death. JUST THINK OF IT AS LEAVING EARLY TO AVOID THE RUSH.”

Somewhat prophetic, given this years events.

Probably not the first of 2017, but can you put me down for Ken Dodd please?

I'm going to add Gazza to the list for some time in the year. He seems to be in self destruct mode again.

I honestly think, jeremy clarkson, the man looks pretty unhealthy and tired, i would not be shocked if he had a heart attack or something vascular related.

Every year this thread kicks off - and I used to enjoy it.
This year I find it quite unsavoury.
Not really sure what purpose it serves really. ( I'm getting old I guess )

A lot of the personalities I grew up with are now gone. More will be gone the next year - and the next.

I guess I'm viewing it through a lens of a crowd of unknowns betting on which one of your family members will die first.
"I'll bet on the disabled kid", "The wife is getting on in years and looking a bit peaky"
etc etc

I know - Rant 1/10 - but this year - this thread is beginning to bother me.

Possibly not the first to expire in 2017, but very clearly at death's door

The irony is that you can wish somebody dead on this thread, but get banned if you say George Michael's death doesn't upset you on the other thread.

I've said this a few times - I have no trouble with noting the passing of somebody famous or important.

I'm not so keen on the prediction side of things.

And I really hate those who express a wish for a certain individuals to die.

How about someone who says Clint Eastwood every year because they think they'll be wrong as they quite like Clint?
Is that OK?
