The response to Jason Plato's cameo on PH has been nothing short of cringeworthy. He's probably not replied to this thread because he's at the doctor's with severe stubble rash on his arse.

One thing is for sure, anyone expecting Needell, Clarkson or any other famous driver/motoring journalist to pop up on here anytime soon has got another think coming. The response Plato has received is enough to put anyone off.

Indeed. If it had been left at a few laughs after JP's response then fair enough, but people seem completely unable to behave in a sensible manner and go off on some mission to prove how much of a tt they can be to someone they have never met, for no other reason than someone else who they have seen on TV responds to it. In their eagerness to point out the failings of the person they are berating, they are doing a pretty good job of showing what kind of people they are. It's hardly very welcoming.

About the most sensible take on the whole issue.

George has a pop at the behaviour of a well known chap he met on the street and people suggest, before JP even knew of the threads existence I suspect, that he might have been a little starfked at the time and this could have possibly lead him to act in a manner which caused JP to find it hard to spend any more time than he absolutely had to with him. Not forgetting that the bloke was only trying to do a little shopping in the first place.

Later JP then posts, in a clear and concise way, what happened from his side and lo and behold, even by George’s own admission later in the thread, George came across, to use the PH vernacular, ‘a little rapey.’

All was well and good but the problem is that JP is JP and there are a lot of people on here who, to be honest, would be just as starfked if they had been in George’s shoes and have shown it in their sycophantic ramblings and their ‘need’ to be part of the thread, in the hope to curry favour or even, in their wildest hopes, that JP might quote them in a reply.

I suspect that all that has ultimately been achieved is that JP is unlikely to post here much, if ever again, and will be relating his experiences to others who will most likely now decide it’s not worth the bother of signing up, let alone letting it be known who they are.

Totally agree with this - the original George thread wasn't TOO bad but the last few pages of this thread haven't been a good advert for this great site.
