So, ABD, how did the date go? smile
It's tonight smile

I'm looking forward to it but I'm a bit nervous to be honest. I think this will be my first "date" since about 1990. Are icewash jeans still acceptable? biggrin
I think if you head over to this thread all your questions can be answered smile

Give it a good clean... just in case you get lucky.

(Soak it in a toothpaste solution, and go for the full 'mouthwash' end to the evening)

Have a good time, just relax and enjoy. I shall raise my G+T in salute a little later.

Morning smile

Had a really good night. We'd arranged to meet for a couple of hours for a drink but the time just flew and before I knew it it was 2am. Great conversation, quite a few laughs, no awkward pauses and a fun time. She's well out of my league but what the heck beer

Hopefully we'll meet up again - what's the etiquette these days as to when to get in touch afterwards (I'm not really interested in playing any mind games but don't want to appear over-eager or disinterested)? Would just be nice to take things slowly and see how it goes.

Re: the jeans thread - good grief. He's taking it well though biggrin.

She couldn't have been that far out out of your league,if that had been the case,I doubt you'd have still been chatting until 2.00am.
Besides, plenty of people punch way above their weight, she may well be thinking the same.

There's nothing wrong with sending a friendly text along the lines of:

"Thanks for a great evening,I really enjoyed myself, would love to do it again",or something similar.

It shows you're interested, but not in a stalky manner.

Good luck ABD,if nothing else, life looks like it is slowly stabilising, and for the better, and you can start enjoying it again.
