The Official Winter Snow Thread 2014/2015
Discussion
As the back edge wraps around and hits the cold air that's entrenched, there will be quite a bit of snow. It'll be fairly short-lived, but pretty intense. My betting is somewhere around North Oxon to South Derbyshire will see a good fall (to be fair, I only spent a couple of minutes watching the animation, so could be miles out!

Cheers, I'm I looking at the track across the middle of the country or further to the south, the link shows a system crashing into the Lancashire coast and streaming across the pennines from what I can tell.

Ok slightly cheating but this is Alpe d'huez at the moment. Bucket loads in the Alpes and they're expecting another 40-odd inches tomorrow! Will be there in March, hope it sticks around.
Closer to home, this looks like quite an interesting chart for Tuesday of next week, although things could definitely/probably change - this low tracks all the way down from the north, reckon it could carry quite a bit of snow for the south west and the channel islands.

Sigh, I've no chance of snow in Swansea do I? We never do.
However I am hopeful that there'll be some just north of Llandovery on Sunday for the Red Kite Rally.

Black Mountains will look slightly different tomorrow though.

Looking at the NW app it appears that the bulk of it has hit EAST BLOODY LONDON And Cambridge, which is where I'm desperately trying to move to but can't until I get a damn job up there
There's always another year, Missy. Bloody freezing outside, but the sky remains clear.
Hammering down here in South Manchester, anticipating the Airport being out of action again in the morning, got 3 inches or so (and some snow....) and its coming straight down, its sort of more frozen rain and it seems to build up very quickly,
This is the snow this thread has been about !
Working from home then tomorrow !
