My dog definitely can walk backwards. It sits too close to the back door when it wants to go out. As soon as you touch the handle to open the back door (towards it) he backs up across the kitchen at a rate of knots.

I guess we all know this, but it is weird that the distance between the sun and the moon just happens to be enough that they appear exactly the same size from planet earth!
