Taking children to McDonalds, is it child cruelty?
Discussion
I've eaten at a McDonald's drive thru before when it was the only thing I could be bothered with whilst on business. I paid using my corporate card and submitted the receipt to expenses.
First time in my life I've spent less than a fiver of my daily allowance.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Sweet Chilli Chicken Deli Wrap really hit the spot though![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

Not wanting to go to KFC made us snobbish?
Yes.Adj. snobbish - befitting or characteristic of those who incline to social exclusiveness and who rebuff the advances of people considered inferior.
You think KFC is dreadful. Regardless of how right you are that attitude is snobbish.
If it helps - I'm pretty sure most of the people who love KFC wouldn't lick Tesco Value tinned soup off a public toilet floor, which makes them snobbish too.

Interestingly (or not) the sweet chilli chicken sandwich has more calories than a Big Mac.
It's much more filling though, and I think if you choose the wrap instead of sandwich it limbos under the level of a Big Mac.I've always wondered how other chains such as Wetherspoons manage to cram so many calories into their burgers, some run at 1000+ whilst a Big Mac is sub-500 IIRC.

I don't know what's more concerning.
Eating in MacDonalds or putting in a recipe for expenses for less than £5
He said he had a daily allowance. Some meals come out above £5 some below, but it all adds up. Just £5 maybe not, £5 along with the receipts for the other days food yes.Eating in MacDonalds or putting in a recipe for expenses for less than £5

Cardboard has no calories.
If it burns then it does.![confused](/inc/images/confused.gif)
If my uncle had boobs it wouldn't make him my aunty.
Technically, cardboard contains calories (you can burn it). However, it doesn't contain anything digestible by humans (cellulose) but it is a source of roughage so may have its use in regular bowel movement. So for a filling low calorie meal, add soggy cardboard to your salad.

Do any adults here consider McDonalds as a treat for themselves?
I consider bad/sweet foods treats, so McDonalds would fall under that, not one I'd chose for myself but I wouldn't say no or refuse one.Captain Muppet said:
Other people don't care about food as much as you do. They eat at places that serve something they like quickly for a small amount of money.
Other people don't care about driving as much as I do. They drive their Dad's old Kia and think I'm mental wasting money on an Elise.
Other people care more about phones than I do, they point and laugh at my comedy 2004 phone.
None of these issues are even slightly important.
With the exception of the food issue, which is important.Other people don't care about driving as much as I do. They drive their Dad's old Kia and think I'm mental wasting money on an Elise.

ETA: Wait a minute, this is PH, you were meant to say cars are important. Shame.

Not to everyone, or else McDonalds would be empty and they're all be a home hand crafting amazing things from named bits of cow.
It's still an important issue for the country regardless of personal taste. The other things aren't making the UK the fattest in Europe. People may not care they're eating themselves to a larger grave, but it has an impact on everything else.Halb said:

McDonalds, KFC, mars bars or coke are not making the country fat either. People not eating in moderation is making the country fat. TheHeretic said:

Yip, they are making the country fat. Increase in sugar consummation all round it. Changing trends, of which McDonalds is at the forefront.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
