This is a Wombat recoiless rifle, now imagine it with some sort of belt feed for the ammunition and you get the general idea...

Never mind Deighton, they were in Brackenhall when the 'incident' allegedly occurred.

If I've got my vague geographical knowledge of the area correct, they had done the equivalent of leaving 1980s Beirut for a day out in Baghdad.

I would be wary of believing it to be a "night club" when referred to as a "club" in a local paper. The fact there was a birthday party being held there points much more towards it being a venue for hire or similar, if you can take kids there.
