Quite right!
And surely it's not a proper Spanish holiday if at some point you don't find yourself staring at four faded & seemingly identical photos of paella on a laminated menu?
Oh, that's alive and well. Spanish, English, German and Russian all in the same wipe clean folder.

Gives the great unwashed the opportunity to see what all this foreign food is about before ordering pie and chips and a few pints of carling (at a premium over the local stuff) to wash it down with.

The market for tea and biscuits, Sunday roast, etc must be (actually) dying off given the more educated punter these days?

I think this counts - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Edited version (incase the thread gets deleted):

OP (male) gets sacked from previous employer for dealing drugs.
Former colleague (female) leaves that employer and gets a job working with people that require, by the sounds of it, counselling / care.
OP tells former colleague he's single & lonely.
Former colleague decides it's a good idea to set OP up on a blind date with one of her patients that she's meant to be responsible for.
OP tells person on the date that he got sacked for dealing drugs.
Girl on blind date decides to report OP's former colleague for her behaviour in setting her up on a date with a drug dealer.
OP's former colleague is then sacked for consorting with a known drug dealer and actively referring her patient to him.
OP & former colleague now facing Police action (evidently).
OP then asks whether or not he should feel guilty for his former colleague and whether or not it's actually his fault she was sacked.
Well done! I was looking for this thread tonight to find out what happened.

It's supposedly been redeveloped since. I'm not volunteering to go and see what it's like theses days.

Why are they all so pale and can't look in the direction of the camera?

Nothing special really, just a council looking family.

Not sure I agree. They all appear to work and be responsible or am I due a parrot?

Yeah, they look pretty solidly working class with actual morals and values and jobs and not really deserving at all of being in this thread.

Hell, the kid has a job and insurance on his car.

I think they're alright. 17 year old saves up for a sensible car through learning a trade and gets a valid insurance policy for it. Sounds pretty upstanding to me!
