Only the ear?

Don't forget to gauge for the wind next time... and use the Enfield, the .303 flies better than the Springfields 30-06

The lunatics are in the hall, the lunatics are in the hall
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more

The lunatic is in my head.
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane.
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

Of course, there is no dark side of the moon, matter or fact it's all dark...

Bombadier - or bom-bar-dee-ay, as it is hilariously referred - and a gaggle of kids trying to coax a cuddly toy out of the grab machine. It's a swindle, kids. Face it. Stop putting money into the wretched thing.
Bom-bar-dee-ay is a Canuckian confection what makes planes, trains and jetskis[spits with derision].
Bom-bar-deer is a junior NCO in Brenda's Royal Artillery.

I hope that the brewer has named it after the latter rather than the former.

Bombadier. Hmmm.

Great great grandad was a Fusilier. He's buried in Simla in the foothills of the Himalayas. Officially, he was killed by his horse. Officially, his wife had died out there and his orphaned daughter had to travel to England on her own aged eight to live with relatives.

You see, a regular soldier serving in lndia in Victorian times with his wife seems unlikely to me. How about he got a local lass in the family way, he was made responsible, died a bit later of something ghastly and the Army had to ship the waif home to family.

India to England by boat in the late 19th Century can't have been a picnic.
