RIP Bobo, best freind a man could ever ask for
Discussion
So sorry to hear about your loss, sounds like Bobo and you shared a lot, it is so difficult to let your best friend go but there comes a time you must.
We lost Brodie earlier this year, she had lost her companion, Kyle, five years before, we wondered how she would cope without him as we got them together as pups but she just got on with it, I hope Murphy does the same.

Hey come on there, man up, it is after all a dog not a relative, Mum/Dad, etc.
Not much of a pet owner then?.Most people who have pets get attached so much that they stop being just a pet and become a part of the family.
There are thousands upon thousands of pets like bobo in that are very much loved and missed.
RIP Bobo.

Tough break Celticpilgrim.
I'm really sorry to hear about the loss of your dog.
Although I know it's inevitable, I can't bring myself to think about the day I'll have to say goodbye to mine.
Although they can sometimes be a pain in the arse, there's nothing quite like the unconditional love you get from a dog.
It doesn't matter how st a day you've had, when you get back home and your dog greets you like you've been away for weeks, everything is good again.
Okay, time to pull myself together.

OP all I can say is tke solice in the fact that the boss had a great innings and you gave him the best life a dog could hope for, unfortunately some dogs are far less fortunate.

I haveowned a number of dogs in the past, and know the complications associated with them, but be real it is after all it is, ONLY A DOG.
Enough. If you don't understand how a chap can be sad over his loss then simply ignore it and move to another thread, we all have our opinions but I think you have made your point quite clearly.
