OP, I'm not in the pro cannabis camp, nor do I think it is the worst thing somebody can do.

Imo, I am not surprised he is a bit miffed. If I got caught up in something but then apologised and on the face of it, the situation was resolved, then I would be pissed off if the landlord then went telling tales. Damage limitation it may have been, but I think if you say something is resolved, then it should remain that way.

In terms of the chap, it was after his game, so just make clear that any more open drug use and he is out. If he wants to do it at home etc then fine, but make clear that it's a big no when he is there on pool related occasions. I think banning him outright is a little harsh.

OP,

He's brought his pub into disrepute - not really on IMO. Why not have a word and go with a 2 match ban? You could then tell him that you orginisers have to be seen doing something, but you don't want to go over the top.

That, or send him an email with a picture of an airborn can of redbull in it, whilst dressed as a cat.

You could push him off his bike into a hedge, but watch out for stomach bruising!

Well I realise the whole of Pi"stone"heads has been fretting overnight about my decision.

I baulked at my original decision and thought I may as well chalk this one up to experience and give the guy a break. So I decided to be a forgiving soul and, rather than black ball him, have let him off with a warning.

Just need to put some spin on this to the chairman.

Cue some more puns.

It would have been a bit of a Foul shot to Ban him. I mean it could break his heart. Maybe this will be the cue to change his ways.

That will take some balls to do though.
