I'm no whisky conisour, called at my dad's tonight and a neiborogh had dropped a bottle of AnCnoc 12 year old off for him. I had a taste and found it most pleasant so my question is who can recommend whisky's of a similar style / taste?

The most effective flood defence is a flood plane. The defences need to surround a large surface area to create the largest volume possible for the excess water, and hold it till the flow rates decrease.
Unfortunately, making a relatively narrow flood defence only means it gets overwhelmed quite easily. Equally unfortunately, in built up areas, there's rarely the room to build an adequate flood plane so they need to do what they can, no matter how futile it turns out to be.

so I have a 2013 s5 which has gone to Audi for service and MOT today. Get a call advising the following:
Front disks and pads need replacing 90% worn - £580
Rear pads need replacing 85% worn - £330
Can break discs need replacing after only 26000 miles?!!
The above prices seem excessive I think?
I know a very good independent Audi mechanic who will probably do a better job and be cheaper. Would an independent doing the work cause me issue in the future when I come to sell the car and affect value?
Thoughts/advise welcome
Thanks

... so called legal threats re baliffs and debt collectors, one has legal powers via courts, the others are just heavies who get the money by intimidation, either threatened or implied.
I read pepipoo a lot, and am amazed at the errors that even councils make on their documents, and despite these being pointed out at the various tribunials, still repeat it.
...
Yes there are a lot of your 'bar room' lawyers on there and also MSE who are all amatuers but take the time to read the small print for errors. and the various Traffic Orders made by both councils and PPC.If the 'enforcers' wish to knit pick then so can the 'offender'
