Are you trying to start an argument? If so I think you are doing it on a subject you know nothing about.
If the subject is as you term it 'normal people' I think I know enough. I wouldn't ever want to compete with your 'vaping' knowledge because I know actual people and that means if I were so inclined, I still wouldn't have the time to dedicate to kitchen towel photo shoots.

Hi All

Any advice please, everything tastes burnt!! I've changed the coil the batteries are fine but i can taste burnt smoke!! not all the time but a lot. I bought a new tank on Thursday and that now tastes burnt as I'm guessing the coil would last a bit longer than a weekend?
Are they the older BDC coils (bottom dual coil) or newer BVC coils (bottom vertical coil)

All my BDC coils used to burn after a couple days then get binned, some died after an hours used, and a couple after a few minutes use! Put me right off Aspire......The BVC coils however are miles better and the difference is night & day
http://myepack.co.uk/aspire-bvc-coil-head.html
I think you may have hit the nail on the head, and yesterday I ordered more of the BDC coils as they are the ones it came with!!!!!!!!! I'll order the BVC coils next time.

Really shot yourself in the foot there moley. Little bit embarrassing not know the Ducatti of vapes. Even alcoholics know that.

Who took away Cotty the cuddly Pie eater and replaced him with a wounded Rhino on its period?

This hassle over the Ducati of vaping is misguided - the advice was 'this is the best kit, it's forty quid'.

But thay was in response to a question about starter kits. So in context, it's really saying 'this is the best starter kit, it's forty quid'.

On a 'what starter bike?' Thread, no one would be up in arms about a reply stating 'best thing is a sv650, I had one and it's great'...

I think what we have learnt from all of this is Ducati Panigale's aren't £40.

Not at all chap, I stayed well out of the handbags. My post was meant to be concilatory!

I can understand where Cotty is coming from, I've been on this thread a long time - it's enabled me to quit a nasty habit, and I've helped others quit in turn.

What I have noticed (and Cotty has a short fuse for!) is that more recently, the people asking for advice are coming in with much stronger preconceptions, and there's more rudeness from people who don't even smoke.

I got told that I looked like I was emphasymic (sp.). Water off a duck's back, but unnecessary.

It's a shame, as over the last few years this thread alone has helped loads of people quit smoking, which surely everyone can agree is a good thing?

I was just sat here thinking what has happened to this thread. It was a very friendly place for advise on e-cigs and vaping. I for one would like to thank all of those who put themselves in the firing line to offer advice as they have been a great help and I appreciate it. I believe if someone offers you advice and you don't want to take it, then don't. They have offered their opinion that's all. If you don't agree with it move on.

I agree. I think we should have a national cotty day and get the NHS to send him a letter as way of thanks.

I still think you all missed the point. I asked for a cheap starter kit. Maybe I should have specified a pricing band. £40 for a load of technical jargon didn't assist me so I went to a shop and spoke to a nice man who in turn understood my needs and sold me a cheap kit. Which does work fine for what it's worth.

Then cotty went spastic and made himself look like a plumb because I didn't buy his MASTER VAPOUR 3000 with big tank.

Anywho we can continue to argue that Cotty is amazing and spends his day polishing his metal rods but I'm on the fags and didn't waste a FURTHER £20

Scott, problem is, it gave across as expensive to start, techy jargon, but it wasn't.

The reason why that kit is recommended is that it is massively better than the cheaper kits - which means it's more likely to help you quit.

So the fact it didn't work for you is probably due to the quality of the kit you bought, not that vaping isn't for you - in two years I've not found anyone who it really didn't suit compared to fags, assuming they're using decent kit...

So Scotty, are you done with vaping now?

Are you resigned to smoking fags for the rest of your life?

We can help you if that's not true, and some time in the future you want to have another crack at it....it's just that it will cost you more than 20 quid to buy the equipment that actually has a chance of helping you achieve that objective.

Have a quiet moment, and wonder to yourself if you had looked into this a bit further, you may have bought different kit, and stopped completely.
I did the same as you before I discovered this thread to be fair.
I spent £25 on a SkyCig kit. It was ok-ish, but I was soon back on the cigs. The cartridges were way too expensive, didnt satisy, and the battery unit didnt last any length of time.
I then did some reading, asked advice, changed my kit and havn't looked back for best part of a year now.
Ask yourself next time you're caught short without tabs, and the only place to get them is a service station and the are now £10 ish a pack, and you've got to keep on doing that for the rest of your life...........
I've cut down to 6mg juice, but still with masses of flavour, and I dont think I could ever smoke again.
Good luck.
