Guys at work found it astonishing

I reckon I must be a rare breed as I ONLY wear them when doing anything sporty (which is rare) If i'm working I wear boots and the rest of the time I tend to live in Chelsea boots.

so come on, have you been wearing hand-made leather shoes since an early age or is your 'no trainers' policy adhered to by a veritable rainbow of crocs, birkenstocks, flip flops, knee high goth boots with spikes and those weird toe-shoes that go into your tweenies?

Because?

And as a teenager when you went out (or did you not?) you always wore 'proper' shoes?

Just admit you were hasty with you blanket 'I never wore trainers because I'm an uber-cool PHer' statement and that'll be that. smile

Yes, I have legs and feet.

No, I didn't wear trainers when going out.

No, I've never worn trainers.

Would it also blow your minds if I said I'd never been clubbing?!
