22 likes and no one picked up on her glaring mistake!!

I'm ignoring the spelling mistake (you have to as I've given up correcting her every time she spells it "carnt")

You've never heard of adoption?

Or possibly a looong time in intensive care, now I think about it, given the NICU bit.

"A neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is an intensive care unit specializing in the care of ill or premature newborn infants."

How can the child be 5 when it was born 4 years ago? Probably a type though.

Who said she was *born* four years ago?

You could argue that the day the child was born is their first birth day.

Doesn't preclude adoption.

Ok, I might be being a bit obtuse. My point was, the baby could have lost her mother in childbirth and suffered illness herself, thus been put up for adoption, or she could have been hugely premature and resultant complications led to a year in intensive care.

Either way, I don't think it's an arithmetic mistake - I think it's a turn of phrase to imply that she actually properly "met" her rather than saw her unconscious in an incubator or whatever.

(the irony is, Lois is a midwife iirc biggrin)

Is that ironic?!
She isn't adopted and was on nicu immediately after birth. There's no bigger picture, just someone who can't count to 5!

Well, now that's not playing fair, having personal knowledge tongue out

All I meant was that I've encountered a few people who refer to "meeting" their baby when they get out of intensive care rather than the moment of birth (usually cos they're whisked away).
