My recent tattoo which was done on my upper left arm, took 5 hours to do, apart from an initial "ooh I felt that", when it was started, I can honestly say it didn't hurt, it was uncomfortable at points but it most certainly wasn't painful.
After doing all of the black, which took 4 hours, the guy doing it asked if I wanted to leave the red and make an appointment to have it done at a later date to give me a rest, I just told him that as long as he was happy to continue then just crack on with it now.
He did say at the end that I was one of the best clients he had, had as I didn't fidget, didn't moan, didn't ask for breaks etc, I just let him get on with it.

I think that kind of imagery is very frightful for young children, and I would hope they don't have them.
I don't have any tattoos, and if I'm honest I'm unsure how I feel about them.
I totally appreciate the skill that **some** tattoo artists have, but I see so very many very poor, very samey tats on people that the **individual** aspect starts to wear a bit thin.
I suppose what I can't quite get my head around is that most people with ink will tell you they are personal and have meaning to them etc, but most appear to be a variation on a common theme, look at the last couple of examples, skulls and samurai...just seems a bit of an odd thing to have permantly displayed in a very visible place.
Still, all personal preference of course and it wouldn't do for us all to be the same.

I could do with a cover up, wife suggested a sleeve. I'm thinking Motorsport inspired but Iv not seen One to my taste ,And for some random reason I keep thinking an Afro Samurai sleeve would look good

It does look Burton-ish, you're right, but it was a design done by an apprentice. I liked it and we mutually benefited, she got to do another of her 25 free tattoos and I got a nice bit of art.
It just so happens that she used her pet Siamese as inspiration for the body shape and, without knowing, I'd already named it Oscar, after my childhood Siamese.
