Finished the upper arm now after another 8/9 hours (c.20 in total) very happy with the result.
Decision time as to whether the design continues down my forearm now!

I'm in need of some work done to finish an existing piece and also start a new one except my regular guy has disappeared from the face of the earth

Always wondered - what's the fascination with fish in the tattoo world? Is it symbolic?p
Edit - thought I shouldn't be a lazy arse and google it myself
Quite interesting actually - https://tatring.com/tattoo-ideas-meanings/Japanese...

Quite - but who really believes that the ladies will want to keep a 'fashion' accessory long after the sell by date. It's only a current fad, many are going to regret scarring their bodies.
I wonder why nobody has raised this point before?! Next you'll be telling me cyclists don't pay road tacks.Robertj21a said:

There is a big market for cover-ups, but obviously not everything can be reworked. However, some people do put a lot of thought into their design, and know that it is not a decision to be taken lightly. I'm booked in for my first next month, something I've been thinking about for 20 years now. The design I have settled on is something very personal to me, and quite symbolic - not only in the artistry, but the meaning. It's not going to be visible under work attire, despite the size, and I am doing this for myself, not to please or displease anybody else. It's not exactly a spur of the moment drunken scrawl whilst on a lads holiday to Magaluf.
I know it's there forever, but the meaning has been with me for the past 40 odd years of my life, and I don't see it changing in the next 40.
And the usual response to "what will you be like when you are old and in a nursing home with a big tattoo?" - "I'll be in the cool corner with the other old inked guys"

I'm currently in the process of getting a little more done. It has properly healed now and pleased to report looks even better than before, couldn't recommend him highly enough.
