Hi all can I just get a quick bit of information please.

I use a Ego-T upgrade battery and aspire BDC clearomisers, I need to get some new coils and I have forgotten the difference between the ohm ratings. could someone just explain the difference please? How it changes the vape and if anyone has personal experience using my set up.

many thanks

I'm guessing you have a choice between a 1.6ohm coil and a 1.8ohm coil. To be honest, with the battery that you are using, you won't really see that much difference. The higher the number, the higher the resistance. The lower you go, the more power you can put through it. In a normal BDC clearomiser, I personally would go for 1.6ohm coils.

The Vapelab seems to be the one for me as I can go in, ask questions and move forward in an informed fashion. Excellent chap VEA, much appreciated!
Good stuff, let us know how you get on. Like I said though, anything specific, bang it up here, we'll always try and help.

Well, all the gear finally arrived

The iStick makes a massive difference, the 2ml tank isn't quite enough to get through the day anymore which tells me it's burning more juice, hence producing more flavour. I run the iStick at around 12w/4.5v, anything higher and it seems to dry out the coil too quickly so I get a dry hit (using 80% VG). That said, more flavour, more vapour, massively longer battery life and no more gurgling and spitting when I first fire it up in the morning. Thoroughly recommended product.

The Atlantis tank and batteries are massive compared to the Nautilus and CF VV batteries, as are the coils

I don't have the first clue what the difference is between the two as yet, I only had a quick shot of the Atlantis last night. Completely different to vaping the Nautilus, I've found you need a slightly different technique (rather than inhale the vapour into your mouth before breathing down into your lungs as you would if you were smoking a cigarette, you need to actually breath it in straight to your lungs). I may be doing it wrong, if so somebody please tell me what it is!

Now I begin the high VG juice hunt all over again! I got some Digby's DMC at 80% mixed with a little Spider Venom from VapeMunkey, but I'm clearly going to have to expand my horizons a little bit
Good stuff. Glad it's taking off for you.

Mouth to lung or direct lung hits. Mouth to lung - like a normal drag on a fag. Direct lung - well what it says really. Both are preferred by different people. I personally still like normal mouth to lung drags, but sometimes I slipstream (start with mouth to lung, fill up mouth and then continue inhaling).
You can do either, you might find that you get too much nic from direct lung inhales though, the trend seems to be that the lower you go in ohms the lower most people go in nic.

I found this recently for juices, may be of some help http://allthejuices.com/best-uk-eliquid/

Otherwise, it's pretty much a case of trial and error really. I've bought a LOT of juice over the last year. Some has been fking horrible, some has been simply divine. Find something you like and order a load, then continue the hunt for more (that's what I do anyway).
VEA, visited vape lab. They were very helpful. Atmosphere reminded me of how someone once described the coffee shops in Amsterdam wink. Got me a TECC Curve and some nice strawberry, cream and vanilla juice. Loving it so far! Make a joke of the gen 1 e cigs! Thanks for the heads up fella. J

Well, after what I thought was a good start, I've somehow managed to destroy both my mini Nautilus and my new iStick frown

Tried to take the tank off last night to fill it up, wouldn't unscrew from the iStick. Out with the pliers, nope jammed solid. Eventually managed to get the tank off but with the bottom still attached to the iStick, refilled it then couldn't get it screwed back down again. Over-tightened it and shattered the tank.

After tidying up the various bits of broken perspex that was scattered all over the kitchen floor, took the mole grips to the remainder of the Nautilus, managed to unscrew it to discover that the threads on both the iStick and the Nautilus are fked frown Can't do anything with what's left of the Nautilus, will need to see if I can tap the iStick to put the threads back in, otherwise it's junk as well.
I had a PM from thebishmeister on http://ukvapers.org/index.php He said he is looking for a "knackered istick to see if we can repair but with but with a better 510 connection" If you log on and contact thebishmeister he might be able to help help

I have a kanger aero tank mini at the moment and I'm really disappointed with it, but I'm not sure if its crap because of the battery I'm using? I just have a starter, non-VV pen style battery now and the tank just gets boiling hot within 5 or 6 decent drags on it - I mean too hot to touch. I've gone back to using the kanger evod1 that I got when I first moved to vaping because it lasts longer before tasting like I'm sucking on fresh solder.

I'm thinking maybe a new battery might be on the cards (been thinking that for a while) but don't want to spend £40-£50 on a new one if its not going to make much difference!

Aspire Atlantis.....holly st!!!! Good!!

Aspire CF Sub battery......holly st!!!!! Good!!

Put both together! HOLLY SHIIIIIT!!!!! Excellent!!

My Atlantis turned up a few weeks ago, tried with a couple mech mods and wasn't that impressed, the cf sub arrived earlier. Jeez what a difference!! PLUMES of clouds here and tons...as in TONS of dripper quality flavour here!!! I'm blown away with these two.

But....avoid these cloned coils from FT as they're crap. Just burnt taste but will be handy to rebuild my own.

Anyone looking for top quality flavour/vapor production but not the hassle of rebuilding? This combo is fantastic smile 110% worth it wink

Tbh the minis not that good even with a NV coil, the Mega's much better but also a lot bigger.

Try a nautilus mini with BVC coils, I still think it's the best tank out at the moment. Coils can work out expensive from UK vendors especially if you change juice a lot so I get mine from Fasttech (genuine/authentic ones though) postage is usually a week or so.

They work better with a variable wattage/voltage battery though, id get the 20w istick.

Get the kit Cotty recommended and treehack has just purchased http://www.ukecigstore.com/new-products/eleaf-isti... It's a big step up in quality compared to what you are using.

If you prefer the pen style devices, this kit from Vaper Caper is really decent http://www.vapercaper.co.uk/collections/january-sa... You get a coil in the tank and five spares which should last a couple of months, and two bottles of juice of your choice. Add POTV10 for another 10% off.

Cheers chaps. Just ordered the eleaf and nautilus package - £37.99 for both after the 5% off (code is AAEC, if I'm allowed to post that?!).

Should be up and running early next week. Will also be getting an NV coil too, but will need to wait until the bking for spending more money on vape stuff has been forgotten... smile

Busy week of vape related purchases has concluded, I think, with the ordering of two Samsung 18650's, a Lemo drop RTA and an ohm meter.

Just need to order some kanthal and cotton, and more juice...

Just got me a Vicious Ant Kraken tank and a stingray mod clone. Love it. No so keen on drippers though.

Mines turned up! That was super quick!!
Here it is on the mini istick with Atlantis drip tip

Stuck one of Camy's coils in and it's great! This mini istick's also good smile
Mine turned up as well. Unfortunately none of my Nautilus drip tips fit so I think I will order one of these http://signaturetips.com/stainless-steel/st041-510... but not sure what size to get. That Aspire one looks good, have you got a ruler handy to tell me if its 15mm or 20mm tall. Cheers

Just ordered some of cammy's coils as well.

Looks good on the Nemesis in 18350 mode. Just needs a fatter drip tip

15mm mate. It's off an Atlantis clone that I'm not using yet.

Really impressed with the Atlantis/cf sub combo. Drinks the juice though (I thought the mini nautilus was bad!!) so I'll be getting the 7ml tank for it.

Whilst it's not to everyone's taste, I think Snake Oil is the benchmark for a high quality juice...

Loads of flavour, that's really very complex - different on the inhale versus the exhale, changing emphasis as the juice matures, etc.

I think it's just sublime, however a couple of hundred ml without a break meant I lost a lot of the flavour. So having tried a whole load of well regarded juices (which on the whole I enjoyed, but none matched up) I've just placed an order for another big bottle of Snake Oil.

Top stuff!

So after some advice earlier in the thread and my old variable VIP giving up the ghost I was forced to venture into 'town' on Saturday.

I was planning on upgrading anyway at the end of the month, I think I still want that DNA shark thing =)

I purchased a vamo v6 and nautilus mini tank.

Seems pretty good, not quite night and day as I expected but better than the ce4 things.

I did discover proper juice though, I bought some minty juice which has been my staple but also got some t juice colonel custard. I've nearly done the whole 10ml since saturday afternoon! laugh
