Update - still waiting for some of the pledges for the Pink Mohican to be paid Lesson learned, don't do anything until the £££ is paid!
BIG News
The Pub du Vin, at Birmingham's Hotel du Vin have very generously agreed to allow me to have my hair shaved off in their premises at lumchtime on 29th November.
The Head Shave will include an auction to be allowed to cut the initial ponytail off (my pony tail is currently 20” long so that it can be donated to the Little Princess Trust, who make wigs for children); and an auction to be allowed to shave off the remaining hair with clippers, as well as a raffle with prizes donated by Family and Friends. It’s going to be a fantastic event thanks to the generous support from Hotel du Vin. The more money I raise, the more free care Marie Curie Nurses can provide to terminally ill people in their own homes or at one of the charity’s hospices.
Pub du Vin is less than 10 minutes from Birmingham's Snow Hill and New Street train stations and you'll find ample car parking on street and in nearby NCP carparks - please feel free to come & watch (and donate!!) and put some names to other PHrs

Plans for the big day on 29th November are going well
Work are letting me have a Charity Dress Down day and Cake Sale on the Tuesday after the shave - I'm going to stand outside with a cold head & begging bucket
I'm on the scrounge for donations of GOOD items to auction on the day, please PM me if you can be of help
So far
- I'll be auctioning the chance to cut off a pony tail (my hair will be split into a few of them so we can obtain as much as possible for the Little Princesses Trust)
- I'm also auctioning the chance to use the clippers on the rest on my head.
- A friend is donating a pair of Gucci shoes
- My wedding venue (before the shave) have donated a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast
- Another friend is donating some costume jewellery
I know - I want this one, but cannot justify the £££!! Plus, I think it would look awful with no hair

A friend's Mum (another PHr) makes turbans etc for Chemo patients, I'm going to order some from her

Maybe try gumtree or advertising in the paper?
Could advertise ebay but state cash on collection
I think you can say its 100% for charity when list an item and would when you do that they would be no fees involved...

No, it has to be linked to the Charity & they pay it direct to them. Which means it wouldn't go to Mum's momory, or even to the local Hospice, but to MC HO.
Ladies & gentlemen
Are you looking for an excuse to come & support me when I have my head next Saturday?
Bribe your loved one with a trip to the German Market & the chance to go Christmas shopping - House of Fraser, Debenhams, Selfridges & Harvey Nichols are all within a 5 minute walk
I know it doesn't really compare to other shopping centres, but it does have the advantage of everything being only 5 minutes walk (ok, some 15 max )

One last 'push' tonight
I've reached 50% of my goal I'm so grateful to all that have donated so far & appreciate that some are waiting until the deed is done...
I'm just praying I don't end up looking like an extra from Prisoner Cell Block H
