Likely to be another very hot period around Thursday before wei get a break down over the weekend. Sorry MG.

Amusing though - Glastonbury evil

It's a week away so must stress unreliability of forecast.

30.1 recorded at Teddington. Hottest day of the year.

Small chance of storms Sun-Tues. However, at long range Thursday is potentially looking as good as it gets for big storms.

Our back garden is surrounded by brick around the bbq. Hit 36.7 in the final rays before they disappear behind the house.

I could do with a quick thunderstorm. This is sweltering.

New builds need to start thinking about this. I'm tempted to put the aircon on in the car and spend the next few hours there.
There is a slight chance of a storm tonight, but radar shows absolutely nothing. There's some nice cumulonimbus here, so there's hope...

Unclear at present. Likely to be cooler and cloudier.

Can't rule out rain - most likely heavy downpours if it happens.

Heat staying around for a few more days yet. Thursday's potential for extreme heat has disappeared, and with it the incredible storm potential that was modeled.

Some storm risk remains for Tues/Weds.

No big, wet breakdown from the Atlantic...

MG - away from the NW it should be cooler and cloudier, chance of rain. Greater chance of rain for NW UK.

Meanwhile:

On another note - Weds now sees the biggest storm risk. And it's a risk of big storms.

Hot again tomorrow - hotspot is likely to be in the SW.

Also storms - unlikely but could be severe if they materialise in the black zone: http://www.convectiveweather.co.uk/forecast.php?da...

Small storm north of Spalding, and heading East slowly.

Very different day here in Berkshire, hazy and far less heat from the sun. Humidity noticeably up.

Potential remains tomorrow for severe storms, it's a low chance but if they do bubble up they could be more severe than usual. Most likely north of the M4 tomorrow evening, up towards southern Scotland by Thursday morning.

20 and cloudy... Low pressure north of Scotland will be dragging in cooler air, cloudier, something of a breeze from the Atlantic.
