I had a Magnanni delivery this morning. Both shoes fit perfectly and I would happily wear either - though the pointy ones are a little less versatile.
Now I need to decide which pair.
Those look very nice, what's the name of the one you have on your right foot please? Now I need to decide which pair.
I'm a sucker for pointy shoes, and it's time I branched out from Jeffrey West

I'd buy another pair and return the full price ones, barring the fact that they seem to have sold out of most sizes.

Sorry I hadn't realised you're important.
Does the discount apply only to shoes?
Nor had I...Does the discount apply only to shoes?
It applies to lots of stuff at Selfridges, although seems to exclude Mulberry as I was looking for a bargain Christmas present for the other half earlier.

Just checked online and the code started yesterday for important people such as yourself and today for the plebs. Had I known about it I may have waited, but at least it wasn't active the day I ordered. Or so it would appear.
Indeed, I received the email on Monday. In future I'll be sure to share the code as soon as I'm in receipt. I'll cease the derailment of the shoe thread now

Not sure whether it's to do with the discount, but when I ordered those Magnannis on Tuesday they had all the sizes. Now virtually none.
Cheaney mailed let me know they have £100 off (approx 30%) a few styles in black for black Friday.

I think their Christmas/January and summer sales are normally more like 50% though if you can hang on. Always limited styles in the sale.

whats peoples opinions for the best style boot/shoe for the office? Im after black really. it be nice if i could also use them for more formal occasions too so does that rule out full brogue?
I believe I have this correct in saying the most formal office style is the plain black Oxford, with plain toe cap.Generally the more brogue, the more informal it is deemed to be.
A plain Oxford in patent black is the norm for black tie, but a bit 'showy' for the office as a rule, but a well polished plain Oxford is often worn for black tie.
Brogues definitely out of place as formal wear, but for many people of course 'needs must'.
