Fair do's.

I could do a Google search on my name, which I assume would bring up various news reports, (I haven't Googled myself), but I'm not sure I really want to be posting that sort of stuff on public forums.
No I get that, I understand.

I kind of want to believe this, and there is certainly a very precise posting gap. But I'm known to be a bit gullible.

Thing is, and forgive me dissecting this, but your final posts appeared very "normal" and not the sort of stuff someone imminently going to jail for six years might post. The fact you're back exactly, almost to the day, six years later implies that you went to prison the day after you previous final post. You must have known that was imminent, yet those posts don't remotely give that away.

I dunno...I'm sorry for my scepticism 'cos when I go public with scepticism it often turns out to be misplaced.....

Seems like a fabrication as I wan’t asking him, I was asking the previous poster.

Let’s be honest, you would have to be a bit special to get out the nick after 6 years and head straight to pistonheads.

They are the same person.

'bus pass' = 'TVR Moneypit'.
It's the odd way these forums handle name changes.

Bus Pass and TVR Moneypit appear to be the same person/account.

A 196KG, £25 mill cocaine smuggling conspiracy, (I'm sure the PH detectives could dig up the details if they could remember my real name). My total charges came to 57 years, but due to the fact that they all ran concurrently and I pleaded guilty to all the charges brought against me, thus securing a 33% discount for a early guilty plea, plus I paid my POCA in full straight away, meant that I "only" had to serve 6 years. Although I've got to tell you, 6 years banged up in various stholes away from your family is no cakewalk.

That appears to be 2013.

Yes I'm bored and thought it'd be easier to find

I know TVR Moneypit's real name. I have met him a few times (prior to his conviction) as have other PHers. Googling his name does bring up news stories of a drug bust and convictions. Seemed like a nice bloke so I hope he gets his life back on track.

That didn’t take you long.
You did post a very specific circumstance, made it quite easy to find on google.

You served your time and I hope have made amends for any wrong you did and I’m sure we’d all like to hear more about your time inside?

Given your prior posting history you seemed very normal with a young daughter. Just wondering why you thought you'd et away with it, whether your wife knew and how the relationship played out whilst inside.

Hmm ok so it seems it's genuine, I've not had time to go looking up details yet but it appears others have so I may just take their word for it.

Apologies for my customary wrong assumptions. Nobody should ever employ me as a private detective.

All sounds very Layer cake.

6 years is a long time to be inside... did you manage to spend any of that time in a constructive manner? Get any qualifications? Learn any new skills? (ones that would be useful on the outside, as opposed to "how to brew moonshine in a toilet cistern")

This, what did you do before going to prison? Are you still employable in that industry now considering?

Sell drugs in a gang with clever-until-you-are-caught code names!

TVR Moneypit said:
But I suppose self pity is a bit pathetic when you think of the knock on effects of severe drug addiction. Yes, in my circles, all I ever saw was the party drug scene, but going to prison you meet so many junkies stuck in a vicious circle of thieving to pay for addiction and prison.
That is a great insight.

Props to your wife for sticking with you.

sorry, but reading the case notes it seems that way.

the mechanics of the story seem well worn, what interest me is your thought process.

i imagine for obvious reasons you aren't going to go into detail, but how did you know these guys beforehand and how does one get involved in a conversation about importing large volumes of coke? how do you go through the thought process from 'no, this is stupid' to 'its ok, we'll totally get away with it'.

was there supposed to be a defined period of smuggling or did you think it would go on and on?

did you need the money? did you get to keep any of it?

what next?

Shirt; I'm afraid it is not possible for me to answer most of your questions.

All I can really say is imagine you had a little fruit and veg stall and you wanted to challenge Tescos, how would you go about it? Probably the same way we went about things. Its not the sort of thing you just dive straight into. It takes a long time to build up to it.
This is fascinating - thanks for posting
