I've got tickets to go and see Eddie Izzard in a couple of weeks. The friend I invited to come with me has just messaged to say she can't get the time off work as her manager is being awkward. She's obviously gutted, but I'm not sure I want to go on my own. /sigh/

Anyway, can one or other of you dirty stop-outs tidy the bar and one thing and another? I'm off to bed.

Yes, yes, we should get enough beds for attending members but you'll find the armchairs and Chesterfields quite accommodating and comfortable.

See you for the Full English.

Ah, should she ever wish to give us a demonstration, you will point out to her that the pole in the bar is a fireman's pole, won't you? She is liable to disappear into the Boardroom below (formerly the fire engine garage) if she's not careful.

Her stage name wouldn't be The Green Goddess, would it, by any chance? Bit of a long shot.

I'll get Iva to do it in the morning, on a hangover. He made the mess, he should clear it up. As recompense, I'll make a full Scottish brekkie. Sounds fair to me.

I'll be sure to warn her! I only know her as Monica, but I'll ask next time if you like?

Just a short trip down the A3. But be quick, not many seats left - if any. http://www.southseacomedy.co.uk/

My Rosemary is wilting in this heat. Should I get it wet tonight or wait until first light to give it some?

Chinese was delicious. Beef with green peppers in black bean sauce, egg fried rice and prawn toast on the side, washed down with generous measures of Bombay Sapphire.

Doable but like you, I shan't go on my own.

Stick it on the bay.

Might give them to my daughter, but I'm not so sure if she would really "get" him. She's more of a Carr fan.

I think Alan fans have a sightly more aged rotundness about them...

Whilst Jimmy has some humour about him (saw him at the Apollo a while back), it is all very predictable. Still, each to their own.

I love the random yet clever and well thought out way that Eddie goes about his trade.

Although I prefer his dirtier stuff that generally tends to occur towards the end of his set.
