Aaah, makes sense now. I was beginning to wonder how the newbie wandered in and was happily yapping away with the locals *

(* most TT noobs keep away from that table as it's full of weirdos, but as you already know the ropes that's fine and dandy.)

Must be hard to riot like that...
You had to mention it didn't you!
I hope that there isn't too much alcohol around tonight or I'll probably get arrested by the Egyptian ministry of silly walks! smile

It would be handy if there was a "previous nickname" entry in the user profile, wouldn't it?

Citroen will be a busy job, on account of how often they fall apart!
Actually that is not always the case. My Dad has a 2010 Berlingo which has covered 116,000 in 3 yrs - all it has asked for (apart from tyres) is an 80p washer fuse.

You cannot fault it - Citroen service it every 12,000 miles and the mileage has become just a number on the dash. I am very impressed with it.

Yes.
It would be useful.

Then I could steer well clear of notorious cads, such as 'Gilla', 'G'kar' and 'Mazdabaiter'.

ranting

Ordered some car parts from a large retailer yesterday for next day delivery - no sign of them and the tracking information they have given me states that the courier has not recieved the items yet.

Called them and they told me they definitely have dispatched them, called the courier and they say they definitely haven't received them rolleyes

If someone somewhere has nicked them they'll be in for a surprise when they realise it's just a couple of things for a knackered old Skoda! ranting

I had a diesel xantia, back before you were a teenager (2004). It was a brilliant car to drive! Unbelievably comfy, nice to chuck about and immensely frugal.

Worst car I ever owned for breaking down though. Replaced the suspension system (regulators, the lot) twice. Replaced heater matrix, clutch retainer broke twice (dash out job) in amongst all the other usual breakages.

Sold it for a 2.3 Honda accord which, while more expensive on fuel, was a far cheaper ownership proposition.

We decided upon a Citroen Xantia 2.0HDI Estate when we moved back from Florida as a car to get us mobile for a few months. Ha, big mistake!
