Jeez, the misogyny and mob mentality on this thread are depressing. This is a chat forum. If you don't find the thread interesting - don't read it.
OP - you don't have to justify yourself to the sad divorcees of PH. Either ignore them or tell them to f**k off.

I'm surprised the PH detectives have not outed her yet.

You're generally getting a shaky reception here because you're trying to ram the fact that you are a woman down people's throats. How is that relevant to the debate? Everyone is different and yet only ONE element of those differences (two X chromosomes) seem to be important to you? I'm sure we could all list hundreds of things that make us different and hundreds of things that we have in common, yet for some reason you (and a big chunk of society) seem hellbent on making the distinction of man vs woman.
Now, I realise that people feel a need to belong to groups, but this is 2014, surely a big part of intelligent society has got past the gender split by now?
Rant over, welcome to the forum.
Look, it's National day for Women (or something like that) and there are going to be a few who want to bang on about the fact they are women. Let them have their day and all will revert back to normal. You're generally getting a shaky reception here because you're trying to ram the fact that you are a woman down people's throats. Here's something that's going to piss them off. On my journey to work this morning there was one idiot man who tried to overtake one too many cars and nearly ended up causing a major pile up, then there was the women. One was using hair straighteners as she drove ffs, one was doing her lipstick at 60mph, two were on the phone and another was shouting at a small child in the back of the car. If you want us to bring up gender, we will. ladies, your gender are 5 times worst than men.....official!
By the way, enjoy the rest of your National Day

I'll be honest, women drivers are mostly st. Can't park, navigate, handle pressure and know notging about how cars work. And like you say so many think that they can use a phone or put their makeup on whislt attempting to drive.. scary. I'm aware that im not a great driver, I admit it.
But like anyone if you know you're no good at sometime why make it harder with all these distractions?
My partner is so bad she hasnt got a licence now.. spends a fking fortune on drivers but I reckon it works out cheaper than all the repairs and fines she had before.

You can come out now. These men are too good at getting their own way it looks like, time for us to get together and change a few things around here!
Women drive too you know guys! And usually have better taste in cars than men, and usually drive better!
C'mon girls, join me and let's get a few threads of our own started, the guys have threads on Watches so let's have one on Handbags, ooh and Shoes, fashion and celebs, Men, interior design and if the guys want to talk to us, we'll talk about cars with them!
So c'mon girls, and fellas, let your wife or SWMBO (as you call her here, where you think you won't get caught) have a go on the keyboard, the latest in shoes and handbags won't talk about themselves!
Why would a blond secretary, who is up so late on a car forum start a thread about handbags and shoes?Women drive too you know guys! And usually have better taste in cars than men, and usually drive better!

She's the one that calls me 'Baby', go and take your misery out on her!
I'm also old enough to be her Father, so feel that it's my duty to look after her from the likes of you!

Some people are bad drivers, some people are good drivers. I've seen both genders in both camps.
It does make for a fun argument if you suggest a correlation. Just for fun of course.
Now OP. Where's my pic?

One of the few people I can actually switch off with if I'm a passenger when she's driving.
Plenty of bloke who make me very nervous when I find myself in the unfortunate position of having to take a lift.
Had to take trip to London with a (male) colleague recently who was quite happy to sit in lane 3 at 95mph constantly varying speed, with one hand loosely on the wheel and the other apparently super-glued to the gear knob. Prick.

Anyway, there's been women on these forums for years, although in the old days there were only five or six of us! But there really is no need to make a point of your femaleness - either you like cars, or you don't. There are plenty of subforums on here nowadays that people can join in with if they're not much into cars - the regional ones, the one about TV, the SPL one... But the fact remains that this is a site for people who love cars, so it's fair to assume that new members do like cars, regardless of gender. So, no need to point it out.
