I don't know how I'd react if scum like this jumped me and I was lucky enough to get the better of him. I'd probably exit stage left after he hit the deck, then look out for newspaper reports. Thing is, would I feel guilty and hand myself in?

Not sure we've communicated before, but just thought I'd write to say the same as everyone else. I agree wholeheartedly with your response, apart from the handing yourself in bit!
I too had a similar experience many years ago, and ended up in court. T'was a little bit more serious, but the theme was pretty much the same. ended up with a guilty etc, etc. From that day on I have never trusted or respected the police since. Apologies to the BiB on here, its nothing personal, but i just don't like them. Simple. (well, apart from the Biker Bib that pulled along side me doing well above the limit and simply gestured me to slow down befroe speeding off. Respect to him).
I would like to ask for Harry's rant to be included in the "PH Legenary Threads" post that is currently doing the rounds.
FWIW, I suggest the BiB will take absolutely no action whatsoever, even with the scum making a complaint.
