No, it is (or was) a conventional socket apparently

Stayed at at the outlaws in France for Christmas. The bathroom mirror does my OCD every time I visit. The angled roofline doesn't help matters.
That is just terrible, there must be a structural issue why they did it, surely?
Yeah it's got a sloping roof.
I think I would have stretched the budget to buy a round mirror and have the light above it.

Uncovered a fireplace whilst refurbishing my house, although it's off centre decided to make a feature out of it. I was considering having the beam go all the way across the wall, glad I didn't.

The plan was to have the TV centred on the wall too, but would have dominated the wall so went for a smaller one centred above the fireplace. But in order to cover the plug sockets it's mounted a bit too high for my liking. Not that it matters, I've decided I don't like wall mounted TVs laugh

But the TV annoys me enough to distract me from the unfinished skirting boards.

laugh I missed that! Was desperately looking for misalignments, rather than concepts.

I think the collection of different fonts on the name badges is worse.
This, it's a "Nissan Patrol 4x4 GR SLX"

Every different word / collection of letters is in a different typeface.
And not even in the right order

Surely the rain drain is utterly pointless too.

The ground in front to the door appears to have a slight slope so water would flow away in any case. There's no obvious continuation of the drain towards the left so it would either have to have a soak away or pipe connecting to something otherwise it'll just fill up.

just imho though

Think of it as the same as a normal rain gulley - there's no obvious continuation of them either, yet they've all got below ground pipework that connects to the main rainwater drains. The one in the picture will be no different.

The drain is there to prevent water ingress on a level threshold (level threshold is to comply with Part M of the Building Regs)
