Evening.

At work.

I have a sleep day tomorrow before 9 days straight, but someone is off and there might be a shift going... I might have to grab that...

I didn't make it to the hospital for 0800. Bed seemed a far better option.
redcardnono The NHS is crappy enough without people misusing it; absolution will be forthcoming if you cancelled it though.

Sunny day; achieved nothing. drink Win!

Good evening,

I felt stupid earlier because I said "Thank You" to someone for letting me onto the main by a quick flash of the hazards. I then drove 0.5mile with my hazards flashing. Oops! laughbanghead

Called them at 0645 and left a message saying I wouldn't make it. Would have gone but my relief turned up 1/2hr early at 0630 so I would have had to wait at the hospital for nearly an hour. After a 12 hour shift that was just too much...

I drove for a few minutes with the left indicator going in Sweden 2 weeks ago.

One fella hooted, friendly, and I eventually got the message and cancelled it.

After six years in my job, this week I'm handing my notice in for bigger and better things in totally new pastures. And because I have a two week holiday coming up it turns out I've only got 7 physical days of actually working left! # winning.

No more Bank Holidays, Christmas', or weekends.

Wish I could find something better.

Not that I'm making much effort at looking.

I've just been asked to cover 5hrs tomorrow...

That'll be 28 days straight when I finish this stint on 7th August.

Then 2 weeks off.

I'm gonna be smashing my all time OT record, looking at around 130hrs+ for the month biggrin

Punctures are a pain at the best of times. But when it's your daughter who phones you up asking for help with a flat tyre it really grinds. Wouldn't mind, but it's the same wheel as last year that's gone flat. She can use a wheelbrace and is also an AA member, but Suzuki don't fit a spare to the Swift Sport and the can of gloop is always going to be useless, so I've got her knackered wheel in the boot of my car ready to go to the tyre shop tomorrow morning and her car is up on axle stands round at her boss's house.

Odds of it being a simple nail and easy puncture repair compared with a completely u/s tyre? About a gazillion to one, I'd say. irked
