i bought a load of trainers recently, mainly New Balance, to try a few pairs out and maybe keep one. Mrs 2CV laughed and said i was too old to wear them. I am 39. I have sent them all back frown
Never fear, you will be always welcome in team Brogue.

Listen, put this whole trainer episode behind you, grab a tin of wax and polish up your oxfords to bring some balance back to the world.

What general shape were they? New Balance do a lot of styles but the aforementioned 574 and other retro runners ought to be fine. There are other fairly understated, casual NB models like the Tempus and CRT-300 (I may have the name wrong).

I'd also suggest some of the classic Adidas, Nike, and Puma models. Shoes like the Gazelle, Samba, Puma Suede, or Nike Court Royale models have a more timeless appeal because they're not really ideal for training in nowadays.

39 is no age, half the models I've just suggested are older than that!

Typically seen on old American men with 3/4 length denim shorts just under their moobs. But theirs are usually white

Question: has anyone figured out the meaning of the gold numbers on the inside of the Samba SPZL? The pair I have has "03 03 04 12" on the inner lining. I know some of the Spezial range does have numbering on the inside but I can't figure the meaning of the series on the Samba.

They are all DOB's of collectors etc. This whole range of SPZL had them in this is basically 03 March 2004, 12 year old, not sure who this one is for but I would guess Gary's son tbh

Inside both my GT Manchester and Manchester MRN there was also 2 dob's and ages as well and Bobby Mac has his dob on the inside of the Indoor Super

Arsenal - do you have any pics of the bullhill I can get them in my size (guessing they fit same as spezial) for a good price.
Whats your opinion on them?

I don't get them pal, wasn't a fan at all tbh, they are £39 at end now and I still didn't bother, did order the white striped samba at that price it's rude not to
