This is THE one, Friday 4th June (my birthday as it happens) £107m jackpot.
Hadn't seen it advertised, but just checked and seems right. We will be entering, of course. Seen a couple of people have sent already, which is fine. I'll email about it next week.

Newbies see the first post.

Worth doing?

The odds are substantially better on the multi-millionaire draws (for £1m winnings) than this syndicate.

This syndicate kicks off at £100m+ jackpot, and I believe the max is £180m? EuroMillions jackpot odds are 140m to 1. The last time I checked there was roughly 100-180 people in this syndicate participating on each draw, so you’re talking roughly, odds of 1,000,000 to 1 for £1m share of the jackpot for £2.50 stake. This is easy to compare to the multi-millionaire odds because that is also £1m winnings.

The millionaire draw is a proper draw, so odds are swayed by how many tickets sold. Naturally less tickets sold on a base draw compared to rollover draws. These are the millionaire maker odds based on ONE £1m prize:

Tuesday – EuroMillions Base Draw 1:3,570,000
(based on expected sales of 3.57million UK Millionaire Maker entries)
Friday – EuroMillions Base Draw 1:5,080,000
(based on expected sales of 5.08million UK Millionaire Maker entries)
Tuesday – EuroMillions 4th rollover 1:4,770,000
(based on expected sales of 4.77million UK Millionaire Maker entries)
Friday – EuroMillions 4th rollover 1:6,600,000
(based on expected sales of 6.60million UK Millionaire Maker entries)

From: https://www.national-lottery.co.uk/games/euromilli...

You need to divide those odds by ten, because there’s 10 x £1m prizes, or 20 if there’s 20 x £1m prizes. So for 10 x £1m prizes, Tuesday base draw, you’re talking 357,000 to 1 for £1m prize for a £2.50 stake. Or 660,000 to 1 on a Friday 4th rollover.

Thanks, we'll look into it. Obviously can't do it for April now hehe but I'm sure there will be others.

Depends on their regularity and what people think. I'm also conscious not to put too much undue pressure on people - if we go too often many will feel like they 'have' to be in every one as if they don't it will be the one time it wins big.

But we can check it out smile

Personally, I believe this can be an issue. The thing could run away with itself slightly.

The odds of winning are vanishingly small in all of these syndicates. The PH one is just a bit of fun once every few weeks.

However, if you decide to go ahead with the new scheme then I'm in obvs!!! hehe
Looking at the occupation on your profile, I can see why! hehe

93m for Friday. If that rolls then it should hit 100m by Tuesday or if not the following Friday.

is it ok to join in even if living abroad currently ?
Would have to check that. I know you have to buy in the country to buy the ticket, which I will be. And you're fine to be out of the country when it's drawn, e.g. on holiday, so long as you purchased it when in the country. However, you wouldn't be doing the purchasing.

So not 100% sure.

Will try and do admin updates requested but I'm selling my house so everything is a bit frantic.

Looking at Sheffield. Any PH advice appreciated, by the way. Budget 350k, looked at areas like Meersbrook and Nether Edge so far, but also had an eye on Totley (cheaper ones), Stannington and Mosborough.

Thanks for area advice so far.

There's only me and the dog frown, so no schools needed yet. That's one of the reasons why I'm moving to Sheffield - be a bit more social.

I work a lot in Doncaster, Barnsley and also soon west yorks, so location isn't too important so long as I can get there. Access to peaks but also to town centre, in the form of a nice balance, would be good, hence me looking at the mentioned areas.

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/110961107#/... - hopefully viewing this Saturday.

Also trying to view those. But Blundells seem fairly dire as they never answer the phone, won't book online and only try calling you back once.
