The only major issue I have with it is when I'm cycling. Fitbit doesnt recognise the difference between running and cycling, so you end up having over "50,000 steps" and 40 flights of stairs. Which is pretty frustrating.
The problem I had with both the flex and the surge is that it won't pick up the exercise bike at all. The surge at least allows you to record it as an exercise session, provided you remember to do so.

You can do the same on the Charge HR, just a pain.

you can add exercise sessions after the fact you know, if you forget to press the button at the start and end of your session.

Since all the Fitbit products use the same app, then if you can manually add exercise for one then you can do for all.

Just checked on the Android app and it's:
  • Dashboard -> Track Your Exercise
  • Tap the stopwatch icon with a plus next to it
  • Select the "Log Previous" tab
  • Enter exercise type, start time, end time and calories burned.
  • Tap "Log It!"
Sorted.

I was just looking online at the activities page, and see you can enter the calories manually. Bit disappointing that it doesn't try to calculate them.

I find it amusing that my last exercise session apparently burnt 408 calories during its 87 steps...

My OH and I don't need another camera. We already have a Canon 7D and 5D3. She doesn't like sharing.

So we've just ordered another 5D3.

And a 25-105L lens to go with it, even though we already have one. She really doesn't like sharing.

And a 70-200L F4 IS lens as the 100-400L is too heavy.

And a 1.4x extender as 200mm isn't long enough. Fnarr.

And just so I'm not left out, I've also got a 16-35L F4 for myself and a cheeky little 50 F1.4.

I'm just glad we didn't get carried away. smile

Was asking cause I can't believe a grown man would (should?) wear those hats.

Now that I've seen Gretchen's pic I'm even more confused confused

Not everyone on this site is a man you know.

Anyway, why shouldn't a person wear what they want? The hats look pretty warm to me and if I wore hats often I probably would have bought one or two!

Did you not fancy a 5DS?

I'm hoping it's USB3 connector is a bit more sturdy than the 5D3's USB2 one, for shooting tethered.

Yes, yes I do, but it's not me who wants the new body at this moment in time. I've never shot tethered so that wouldn't be an issue for me and the 5D3 is plenty good enough at the moment.

No need for it what so ever. I've already got a watch.

At risk of invalidating the frivolity though, the sleep tracking and sonos control possibilities will be useful.
I've just gone for one of these too. Completely frivolous as my PO never leaves my wrist!

Treated myself to a pair of Canon 10x42L IS Binoculars. Hard to justify, but as the missus spoilt herself with a new mop, it seemed only fair.
