We have been watching the Walking Dead. Last night she pipes up saying "look they are based on graphic novels, I bet the books are more gruesome than the series"

Mrs always get's in the car and leaves the fans off when it's cold, leading to windows becoming misted, therefore fans have to go on full to de-mist. Car inevitably gets too warm, so the fans go fully off again leading to the windows becoming misted up... And repeat cycle.

I have given up telling her to leave them on low, along with the temperature set at a reasonable centigrade.

Also same kind of principle appplies to the central heating, doesn't understand that the house won't heat up any quicker the higher she turns it up.

Every woman i've ever met does exactly this, its a design fault.

It's so hot in here. I'd better open all the windows. It's so cold in here I'd better turn the heating up. It's really hot in here, I'd better open the windows again.

The mrs and I were supposed to meet at the shops after work, I arrived, waited a bit, no sign, called home, she had forgotten. She said she would head down. Arrived a few minutes later, opened her handbag to put her car keys in, home phone was in handbag!

My lady does exactly the opposite. On warm humid nights she insists on running the air conditioning full cold, full fan, with it all directed to the windscreen.

It keeps the inside demisted for sure, but it causes a heavy buildup of condensation on the outside. This is too heavy to see through, so requires the wipers to clear it. The problem here is, she never washes her windscreen, & never fills the washers. Wiping the screen wets the dirt with the condensation enough to smear the screen.

With this lady telling her would be counterproductive, so I just don't notice.

My mother was still living independently apart from meals & cleaning, in her granny flat adjacent to my home, well into her 98Th year. She had lived in it for 25 years, & was remarkably capable, but had a few blind spots.

In the early mornings she would run a heater in her kitchen/living room. Sometimes she would forget she had the heater on, & turn on the air conditioning as the day warmed helped by the heater.

The flat had a limited power supply. She would occasionally have that heater & the air conditioning, & a couple of lights, then turn on the electric jug, or the clothes drier as well. This would trip the cutout I'd installed in her pantry. If I was home I would go & sort it, but more often I had to talk her from room to room, turning everything off, then remind her where the trip out switch was & how to work it.

Aye, it's not an unreasonable assumption.

I'm in India at the moment, and the following Skype conversation just took place.

Me: It was too hot to sit in the sun, it's been 39 degrees today
Her: Hang on, that is Fahrenheit, right?
Me: .... no, that would be just above freezing.
Her: 39 degrees Celsius?! But... that's above body temperature!
Me: ....

Can you not just fill her reservoir up every now and then? <mrbean.jpg>

Sat watching Champions League final. OH asks if Gareth Bale plays for England. No, he's Welsh. "But can't we convert him?"
"No, because he's played senior international football for Wales"
"Why's he done that?"
"Because he's Welsh"
"Well that was a bit stupid. He's never going to get on the world stage is he?"

No dear. He's only the worlds most expensive player playing in the biggest club game of the season. No biggie......FFS.

The Graphic Novels can be pretty gruesome at times, that's for sure.

A lot of women seem to only use off and full on the fan control, don't know why this is.
