I'm new to this, started vaping (there's a word that's here to stay) a month ago with the smok h-priv 220, it's a great box but not very practical, took it on holiday and it's only the novelty value that kept me using it while out and about. I like the tank and vaping at about 60W. I'm now thinking I can move it all over to an istick pico, does anyone here have one? Are they worth getting? I'm going to need something smaller when I go back to work...

I've got a Pico, very happy with it, have changed to a Kanger tank though as the supplied one was too small. Also check any tank you are getting fits as it's a squeeze with the battery cap with some

Newbie to vaping here, wondering what the hell you lot are talking about.

I'm on a Nautilus Mini, battery set between 10 and 12 watts, air flow on the smallest hole and filled 16mg nicotine Premium Tobacco blend.

I'm six weeks off the ciggies, no withdrawals at all and loving it but curious as to whether it could be even better?
You could try .5ohm at 30 or so watts - but 6mg of nicotine. You'll get more vapour....

Cheddar what's better than not smoking? The Nautilus Mini is the thing that worked for me. I would say if the Nautilus Mini works for you carry on using it. Perhaps the next step would be to lower your nicotine level, not drastically but maybe from 16mg to 14mg. After a month if everything is ok drop to 12mg, 10mg etc.

You are already off the ciggies now its just a case of gradually reducing your dependency on nicotine. After 3 years im down to 3mg and rarely touch a vape.

Thoughtful posts like that are why I love this site, that's all the reinforcement I need, thanks Cotty

Yeah genuine Dave. The V1 came in two versions - dripper or squonker, whereas the v1.5 does both. Asides from that they vape exactly the same; I'm on my third genuine as the flavour is incredible and you dont need mega power for it, sings at 35-45w. FT do a V1 clone that is decent for a tenner. Or my current one is up for sale with upgraded velocity posts and Eden Tip 2 driptip for £60, delivered for Christmas - cost me £110.
I've just bought the V1 from FT, must have only had a few for sale as it went out of stock within a few minutes!! Been waiting months for this to come back in stock!

Will genuine Velocity posts from Eden mods fit the clones? Also looking at squonking this one if possible, do you know what BF pin to get Steve? Bought the missis a Kanger sub drip for Christmas (hasn't even picked it up!!!!) so I'm having it! I'll see how I get on, might get a decent TC squonker then smile

Just waiting on some TFV8 coils and a few pre made concentrates to arrive from Kraken, got to go diy on this thing!!! GULPS the juice down! 30ml gone in just over a day with the v8 heads!!

The FT V1 is RDA only like the original, they never cloned the bottom feed version. I dont see any reason why the genuine velocity posts wont fit, but couldn't say for certain? The velocity osts make a huge difference for dual coilng, it's an absolute bd to dual coil with standard posts - I think the clone comes with two sets of posts though? Just checked and it does, so should be much easier to dual coil. Also the deck is reverse threaded in to the base, make sure you tighten it up as it has a habit of coming loose when pulling the top cap on/off.

I can recommend https://www.mixshop.co.uk/ for one shots for diy - £9.49 for 30ml concentrates of premium liquids, gives you roughly 150ml liquid for just over a tenner depending on mix ratio. I can highly recommend South Coast Vapes GodYog as a shake and vape. Have heard lots of good things about Cotswold Vapes liquids so will be buying some of their concentrates come payday.

Cotswold is all I'm using at the moment as it was £22 for 120ml last week, I've tried nearly all of them now and the highlights have been custard doughnut, the big slice (apple pie) & strawberry delight

Didn't think much of golden flapjack or superbowl - Lancashire Steam Co's Morning Glory is a far better cereal

POTV20 will get you 20% off at the moment (~£26 for 4 30ml bottles) and it's always free next day (RM 1st Class) delivery if you order before 12

Thanks to those that provided advice on DIY liquid.

I have made 200ml so far in several batches. Very quick and simple in reality.

Costs me circa £60 for 1 litre liquid total. Couldn't go back to buying individual bottles now given price differential.

You should start to see a decent saving now, costs a bit to get going but my monthly eliquid bill has dropped right down. Good job aswel using this tfv8!!!!! Absolutely gulping the juice down!

Not sure if you've started rebuilding but that's also a much cheaper way to Vape than pre built coils, takes a few attempts but easy enough to rebuild.

Could you not swap the pin?

On the subject of squonking, had my Lost Vape Therion for a month now.

Decent bit of kit, with some annoying niggles.

Battery is stupidly annoying. The sprung bottom pin has a very strong spring, and it's completely enclosed, so when using the cloth strap to remove it's wrecked two battery wraps.

DNA75 has taken a lot of tweaking in escribe to get how I'd like it, both preheat and ramp up. Probably a by product of being used to the yihi chip which does the same thing in a very different way. Oh, and I'm not sure about fitting a new coil - the premade ones I'm using are pretty consistent resistance, so it takes a second or two of firing it before it prompts the 'new atty' question - surely by that point it's no longer at room temp?

Atomiser is pretty poor. Huge chamber so it takes a good pull before anything makes your mouth. Bottom air feed and a juice well means virtually constant little leaks from oversquonking or juice tipping over the airholes.

Ideally, want an atty that's good for flavour (so presumably a small chamber?), doesn't have a juice well as it just doesn't need one when you can easily throw a but more juice whilst hitting it. Raised airflow. Looking around, looks like the Hadaly may be the one? Has juice well iirc though.

Tsunami 24 comes with a squonky pin and I've not had any leaking isues with mine just blurghing the juice in from the top. Kennedy style airflow with raised bottom airflow 'columns'

The Hastur is meant to be quite good for the flavour but the airflow looks too high up for me

I use an Aspire Plato so rebuilding not an option. Coils last ages anyway and when multi-purchased they're dead cheap.

I'd say my liquid budget has dropped to the same as when I was using a eGo pen type e-cig with 1.8ohm coil.

V1 Snapdragon has a flat inner base that connects to the positive underneath, no pin unfortunately and would be a major engineering job to convert, hence why they made the v1.5 both RDA and B/F.

Hadaly has been on my radar for a while, heard only positive things about it. Most RDA's come with a juice well but a squonker will usually sook any unused liquid back in to the bottle depending on the height of the squonk pin.

Cheers thumbup I ordered some Big Slice to mix up along with GodYog and CYMore, the latter two I've had before and I know I like them.
