Can I ask for some suggestions on a new vaping kit?
I've been back vaping since September last year and have both the Innokin T18 and T22 starter kits, which I'm pretty happy with. The problem I have now is that the batteries aren't lasting that long anymore, and I'm having to charge them both at least twice a day.
I'm happy with the vape from them, mix my own eliquid at 60/40 pg/vg for throat hit rather than to produce plumes of vapour, and just want something with a bigger battery that will last a bit longer. I'm not particularly interested in making my own coils etc or modding anything etc but have no idea what I'm looking at when it comes to new kit.
I've been looking at the Innokin Cool Fire iv, would this fit the bill or can anyone suggest something else that would be better?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Health-Personal-Care/In...
Any advice gratefully received!
Thanks

The only issue with the Innokin is the same as you have now, non replaceable battery, so when the batter starts to go you have to him the whole device.I've been back vaping since September last year and have both the Innokin T18 and T22 starter kits, which I'm pretty happy with. If you are happy with your current tank setup then you only need a new mod. A few of us have the Pico from Eleaf which has a removable battery, but you are then into buying batteries and a charger (18650 battery and a Nitecore charged are what you would want) you'd also need to check your tank fits as the battery cap can foul some larger tanks
Barring that the Smok Alien is liked by many Iirc

Thanks I'll have a look at the two you've mentioned. I can see how removable rechargeable batteries and a charger would be an advantage, and whilst I'm happy with the tanks that came with my kits I'm more than happy to change them, I just have no idea what I'm looking at, sub ohm for example I have no idea what this is! You probably wouldn't want to go Sub Ohm with 60/40. If I were you I'd take a wander into a local vape shop and have a chat. If you are happy with your juice then you won't need something that can produce a gazillion Watts and run 0.15 coils, so just something that's a nice size, you can replace the batteries and either your current or a new tank with a 1.5 ohm coil (or whatever it is you run at the moment)anonymous said:

Current tank has a 1.5 ohm coil which as you say I'm reasonably happy with. So if I look for something that will work either with my current tank or another tank with a 1.5 ohm coil I'll get similar results to my current vape?Is there any particular make of battery that's considered the most reliable, or are any of the brand names much of a muchness?
Thanks again for your input, much appreciated!

If you're current tank has a small screw type fitting then that a 510 and will fit pretty much anything. But yeah otherwise another tank with a 1.5 will be largely similar, they all have their little idiosyncrasies, some are airier than others, some more reliable. You can't really go wrong with Kangertech stuff and I think Cotty runs 1.5's on hisIs there any particular make of battery that's considered the most reliable, or are any of the brand names much of a muchness?

Samsung batteries are normally quite good. A site like DNA vapes are pretty popular, I think Vampire Vapes also sell mods, when it comes to batteries I'd buy from someone trusted as they are the key (and most dangerous if fake) bit.
If your profile is up to date there seems to be a good number of shops in Bristol
ETA you're very welcome

The Aliens a cracking bit of kit, I'd get a silicone case for it though as the paint/finish is known to wear.
Battery wise I use Samsung 30's and LG HG2's. As said some fakes around so really important to get from a reputable vendor. Had mine from here:
https://eu.nkon.nl/rechargeable/18650-size.html
Worth a look here to see what the batteries really put out, some are rated for high amps but put out a lot less, others are underrated. Bit of a minefield but you can't really go far wrong with the 30q, HG2 and Sony VTC4, VTC5 and the VTC6 is getting good reviews.
I use a Nitcore i2 charger back home but charge through the mod's USB when in away working, takes around 3-4 hours to fully charge via USB, the Nitcore takes a good 6/7 hours.
I've tried a few different tanks now, best small tank I've got is the Aspire Triton Mini, the 1.8ohm Clapton coils are excellent but you need thinner juice as full VG kills them in no time, 50/50 or 80/20 lasted around a week each. The Uwell Crown tanks also really good but can leak a bit. Nickel coils are ok but the 0.25 SS coils were miles better. TFV8 I'm not that keen on, leaks like crazy and kills battery life if ur vaping at higher power, so it's a pain in the arse to use. But chucks the clouds out and flavours really good with the q4 coils.
Well worth looking at rebuilding, works out MILES cheaper than buying new coils all the time. The Rose3 clone by SXK is fantastic but there's loads around now.

Can I push my luck and ask for some final advice/comments?
I think I've decided on the Innokin Cool Fire IV TC 18650 as suggested by Packrat. I've been happy with the Innokin stuff I've had do far, and the removable rechargeable battery solves my problem with batteries becoming less efficient, I can just get new batteries.
If I'd be better off with the Smok Alien I'm open to this, but I'm not sure I need anything more than the Innokin offers?
I buy my juice from Vampire Vape and noticed they sell the TC 18650 with a Kangertech Protank 4 for £49.99 which seems like a good deal, and it appears I could build my own coils for this? What would I need in order to do this, and are there any decent guides on how to do this?
I was just going to order everything from vampirevape, the prices seem competitive after a 10% discount, I'm just a bit wary of buying fake batteries, but is there any reason I shouldn't trust them?
In summary I'm considering ordering the following which come to a total of just under £83

Can't help with the innokin kit but Kanger do some nice stuff. I've had most of the older protanks in the past and they were ok. Rebuilding I'd get stuck into YouTube and check out some of the guides, pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I'd get the following:
Kanthal of various sizes, 0.25mm, 0.3mm, 0.4mm. You can't run these in temp control (yet) so you'd be looking at nickel (ni200) or stainless steel (316 or 316L) but I'd start off with kanthal and see how you get on. Ni200 can only be used in TC mode, SS can be used in TC & wattage. Ni200's a pain to get right, SS is a bit springy and takes some practice to get right. I get all my wire from http://www.wireandstuff.co.uk/products/Vaping-Wire... and http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/index.php?route=mobil...
Ceramic tweezers so you can gently pinch the coils as they're fired to get them nice & even.
Some organic cotton. I prefer Cotton Bacon V2 but there's loads of different cotton out now.
Ohm reader. Great to use as a stand/base to build your coils then check the ohms are ok. Some can also fire the coils up so you don't have to mess around taking the atty off/on and check on your mod.
Nail clippers to snip the wires.
Small sharp scissors to cut the cotton, I've nicked the missis manicure ones!
A coil Jig is really handy, loads around now from single pieces of metal to Kuro Coiler clones (copy's/replicas) are dead handy and you can make perfect micro coils. Or some cheap jewelers screwdrivers to make 2/2.5/3/3.5mm diameter coils.
You can also get the above as a complete kit with case from some places. Should contain everything you need to make your own coils.
I tend to get all my kit from either Fasttech or Gearbest now, shipping takes between 1-4 weeks from China but doesn't bother me with the money saved.
....the SMOK Alien would still be my choice though

I'd just buy the Innokin on its own, the protank four didn't get great reviews and you like your current tanks. Batteries and charger are all good. Try POTV 15 on vampire Vapes for 15% off. If you do decide to go for the protank four (it's not a bad tank per se, just better available) drop me a note and I'll send you various wire types and some cotton to try out I think I've decided on the Innokin Cool Fire IV TC 18650 as suggested by Packrat. Anyone know of a solar usb charger that will keep up with 18650 battery charging?
I live remotely and we often lose power, sometimes for many days
My battery charger uses a USB port for it's charging so I take one of these with my to Glasto or anywhere where I'll be without power https://www.amazon.co.uk/Swees-25600mAh-Capacity-P...I live remotely and we often lose power, sometimes for many days
Lasts the full 6 days of Glasto charging my phone and vapes with plenty left usually

Thanks mate I'll bear that in mind, had the KFL a couple years back when they were all the rage
Next purchase is the authentic snappy 1.5 Bit torn between the VT Inbox or Therion BF here, both have the same dna75 chip so should be good, I think the Therions better quality though so might swing it. Getting back into dripping now so a good squonker sounds ideal
The VT Inbox is st quality compared to the Therion Dai, however if you want to get squonking on the cheap http://www.smokeyjoes.biz/product/kanger-dripbox-1... have the kanger 160 for £35 delivered! Bargain when paired with a decent clone BF atty like Velocity V2 etc. I was given an original Dripbox by a friend and have paired it with a velocity v2 and it's a cracking vape for such a cheap setup; had to swap out the BF pin for a velocity v1 pin but it's now working and squonking great - duall coiled at 0.19 with some Ni80 and it's going a treat, well impressed for <£40 UK sourced.Next purchase is the authentic snappy 1.5 Bit torn between the VT Inbox or Therion BF here, both have the same dna75 chip so should be good, I think the Therions better quality though so might swing it. Have to agree with Stevo, the thereon has been a lovely bit of kit - atty excepted (going to get a hadaly come payday).
Only a couple of niggles - the battery holder is bloody tight, and has wrecked the wrap on a couple of batteries, and the stupid little plastic divider thing really irritates!
Otherwise a superb bit of kit...
