Turn that question on it's head. Why should we not be?

I have just read my last paragraph again. It does 'n' half make me sound limp-wristed. DMN has such a way with words, listen to him. yes

Not having a good day today.. feeling gut-churningly nauseous, haven't been able to eat anything as a result and I had a cheery call from my mechanic to say that the scooby needs a new clutch and that will be another £300 please. I'm dreading this bill frown

Thank God for that.

I had limited the following news to those within the confines of the other place. But now seems to be an appropriate window of opportunity to mention that I'm now a Nissan Navara owner.

I know. I gathered the courage and told my Dad yesterday. He was OK about it and said my happiness comes first, always love me etc, although deep down I don't think he approves.

I would love another hill-billy pickup, but not 100% sure I can pull off such an attractive hair style...

Oh, man. And I had such a good one. It was about him doing another How To video for YouTube to go with his How To Guitar. In that he appeared as a long-haired, heavily bespectacled Steve McQueen look-alike in a repro Gulf jacket. Following his post the other evening I wanted him to produce a How To Oral Sex dressed as a Regency Dandy. You're saying that's off limits now?

It's when you get the caravan and dag on a string he really needs to worry.

To me that sounds like a perfect answer to the question why we should continue... Obviously for comedy purposes not in any vindictive way.

hehe

Margaret! The gentleman would like a video where a slightly mongoloid Dana Carvey lookalike gives a lecture on mediocre cunnilingus techniques, whilst dressed as Beau Brummel. The background music should feature James Last playing the hits of Nelly Futardo on a banjo.

This is a man who once owned a tractor & trailer, and Renault 30 concurrently.

I've just bought a car which is all of those rolled into one.

So take the hints, remember that I do not take offence easily and don't take this thread seriously. It's only banter for people trying to make it through the day before they see their loved ones again.

What a glorious day it is in South Shields, but up until now I've been stuck in waiting for the carpet fitted. Took my Mam's car to get washed, now off out to enjoy the sunshine, windows down and the Beatles playing, having recently found an old CD of mine in my Dad's collection hehe

Anyone have any experience of BT internet? My parents are with Virgin and my kid is with Sky, both seem mediocre to be honest. Not interested in a TV package, just going to get a fast internet and Netflix, especially with me working away.
