As it's getting close, a petition to number the next volume of the Geek Jokes thread in roman numerals. Seems geeky and we can all laugh at the people who ask where volumes 2-10 are.

Not geeky enough.

We should do it in binary, which has the same effect but is much, much more geeky.

Hexadecimal. Might take up to volume ten before anyone notices though, which at the average rate of accretion will take 110 years.

The quiz show 'Only Connect' changed from employing Greek letters to denote the questions as a viewer complained that it was too pretentious. They moved to using Egyptian hieroglyphs instead.

The threads should obviously follow the Microsoft convention.

1, 2, 3, 3.11, 95, 98, ME, XP, 7, 8, 10, 11.

Obsv, we should skip Vista like everyone else did.

You've also missed out 8.1 and all the iterations of NT. And also 2K

Also if you are skipping Vista then you ought to also miss out ME
