Tell Us Something Really Trivial About Your Life (Vol XII)
Discussion
I just suggested my two car idea to The Wife (the one I talked about with Wuff and Aizle at the weekend). The childish grin on her face said that she thought that it's a brilliant idea, but she did say that she wanted a 4 door car.
A mate at work has one of the things I'm suggesting for her. I might ask him if we can try putting the car seats in the back of his and trying it out for space...

BVD; friend Of me has just been in an almost identical situation and he persuaded a driving instructor to come for a drive, so it can be done!
I guess it's just finding one that's difficult.
That or a professional driver who's willing to be blunt if needs be. A driving instructor would be best though as they have experience of the full driving spectrum.I guess it's just finding one that's difficult.

Nice. One thing to note, check the volume control on the stereo if it's a 'CONCERT' system, they can develope a mind of their own and try to deafen you with the slightest touch. I can't remember right now why, but I'll ask when I get home.
Pixels die on the DIS screen (between the speedo/rev counter, generally means a new screen if you can't live with it. Can change yourself if handy with a soldering iron, but generally not particularly painful.
I had these on mine.Pixels die on the DIS screen (between the speedo/rev counter, generally means a new screen if you can't live with it. Can change yourself if handy with a soldering iron, but generally not particularly painful.
"Concert" system is a PITA, with no easy fix IIRC.
Display screen is a very common problem... soldering is fiddly, though, IIRC.
Found out why is was so cheap yet? I know with mine, it never quite felt like you got full power/boost (although still packed quite a punch!) when we bought it - turns out there were various faults with relatively non-noticable things such as (insert name that I've forgotten) sensors.

The spring on the E class had gone!

Also check the footwells for damp, and under the scuttle along the bottom ofte windscreen. This clogs with leaves and mulch and blocks the drainage, water fills lie a bath and slops down the interior air filter...
Door seals might become sticky and make the door a little tough to pull open after a while of inaction. That'll just be aging seals, soak with silicone spray and moisten them up a bit.

Typing on the phone whilst walking the dog, if I remember anything else I'll sling it up when I get home.
With a FASH those issues would have been sorted.
