Grrr. Why do they do it?we spent a long time last night making a family of snowmen on a big junction hopefully to make people smile. Barely 12 hour later it's been totally totally demolished.

Exactlly the same 2 yrs ago when my girlfriend and I made one in our little close. Why do it? What do they get out of it?

We are going back to fix them in couple hours, and you just know it will happen again frown

Tony - make sure you put a concrete bollard in the next one!

...that will teach the scum bags when they try and 'round house' the head off him!!

Hey now, snowmen are really fun to make. But yeah hide a couple of breeze blocks or bollards or burly rugby players inside the next one. Just don't build it outside your house smile

I didn't make a snowman this year, but the one I made last year had a laminated suicide note hidden inside of it, so when it melted all that remained was a puddle, a few buttons, a carrot and a suicide note.

Yep, had a snowman building comp at work today, my team won. A poor loser came along and brutally murdered him frown She couldn't understand why we were annoyed about it and proceeded to do the same to the others to show she wasn't a poor loser!!!

People do it because its fun. No one gets hurts.

Looking at the pic above, you build them in the street like that and you're asking for trouble!

Do what? The question was asked so i answered....i'd imagine the people that knock snowmen down are very happy doing it! Why do top gear crush caravans, why do kids shoot tin cans with BB guns....its fun to squash/break stuff - doing it to a lump of snow that will melt in days anyway is hardly the height of vandalism is it!

If you want to build one to keep around, do it in your garden. I built one in the street outside and did so knowing it was up for public attack...all part of the fun.
