I'm not allowed to carve pumpkins.
As the missus is american she likes pumpkin soup and can only get pumpkins at this time of year.
So pumpkins go into soup.

Yes I know I could buy myself a carving pumpkin, but I'm tight

Impressive - nice idea that.

My local pub has been having a pumpkin weigh in for years .. last Friday
the winner was over 6 stone. Another guy wasw almost polishing the trophy with
his 3 stone 7 pounder when two guys struggled in with the 6 stone monster.

I have carved pumpkins last few years but nothing as good as opening post, just the basic.

I can't do it this year due to breaking my elbow and hubby didn't seen keen so I've bought a plastic one that lights up. It's not the same though

Our office has a pumkin competition and they always ask me to judge. Some really great ones, but i always vote for the traditional scary one.
